Best WLM Reviews

this is a natural gem. the subterranean caves were amazing and was self guided . the descriptions were in french and dutch but at the admissions booth you can get the information in other languages. the way out was by a boat ride along the underground river. the boat guide was very informative and explained the features you saw in english dutch and french. i would recommend bringing a sweatshirt (even if it’s a hot day out).
Very impressiv cave System. Well maintained and easy to visit. Just on my visiting day almost everything around was close from the bar and Restaurants
Best cave experience I've had. Not overly touristic, intimate (you get to walk the first km on your own) and the boat tour is great.
Beautiful cave system with underwater river. The tour begins with a walk through the caves to an underground harbour, and a small steep passage beyond if you're up for it. After that it's a ~1km boat ride on the underground river back to the entrance. It's not a cheap attraction but definitely a cool experience.
Unbelievable experience worth every single penny. It's the longest underground floating cave in Europe and highly recommended on a sunny day, as it's constantly below twelve degrees centigrade down there. Don't forget to tip the great guides on the boat.
Very beautiful cave and a good excursion you can do with children. You walk about 1 kilometre into the cave, and for the return, you have to take a boat to go back to the entrance.
The boat trip was definitely an experience.
This cave system is a hidden gem, that you cannot miss.
I visited without reservations (so I arrived early to secure my spot), as the website was not functioning properly. If you’re proficient in French or Dutch, you can call to make a reservation. Either way I’d recommend booking beforehand.
I paid for my ticket with cash, although card payment is also available. If you choose to pay with card or cash, make sure to set aside 5-10 euros for tipping the boat tour guide; their work is quite strenuous as they have to row all the way back from the end of the cave to the entrance. Also don’t expect all of them to speak English.
Please note that this visit is not wheelchair-friendly or suitable for people with limited mobility. There are narrow passages, stairs, uneven terrain, and numerous steps to climb.
The entire tour can take up to 2 hours. I was the first to enter since I was the only English speaker, so I received instructions and explored on my own. Others in the group received instructions later, likely grouped by language. When I reached the end of the cave, I waited for about 10-15 minutes for the tour guides to arrive on their boats and lead us out of the cave.
The interior is not very dark, but some areas can be a bit slippery, so wear appropriate footwear. The temperature inside stays around 10-15 degrees Celsius (50-59°F) year-round.
The entire tour comprises 12-13 stops with descriptions in Dutch, French, and German. If you speak other languages like Spanish or English, you’ll receive a printed paper at the entrance, but it contains only a limited amount of information compared to the signs inside. This is an area where they could improve.
The cave is truly remarkable and unique, and I couldn’t recommend the visit more. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by! Don’t miss it. ????
Be aware that your clothes will get dirty. Floor and stairs/steps are slippery, and there are muddy water puddles. Wear decent shoes.
Nice cave system where they used lightning in a clever way.
At the end, there's a small boat tour back. The benches in the boats are wet.
We made sure to be the last ones of the group. Children in the party were loud. That gives a nasty echo when they scream.
The employees speak multiple languages and will tell you something about the history of the caves.
At the entrance/exit are toilets and a small shop.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby.
Parking on the streets nearby.
