Best WLM Reviews
Poor staff, tasteless food. Ordered 3 entrecote, 2 cheeseburgers and 1 well done steak. As a result, we got 2 boneless entrecote (5/10), 2 cheeseburgers (5/10), 1 disgusting and underdone entrecote (after which I threw up; 0/10) and 1 medium rare steak (1/10). As a result, when we adequately began to explain that we didn’t like the food and we couldn’t eat it, the chef of this restaurant began to talk to us very rudely and then insult us. I don’t recommend that restaurant!
Good local food, nothing too special. We ate here twice this week. Trout was really nice and stew/meatballs also (balls bit dry) don't take a hamburger here tho. Some of the staff are nice and speak English/dutch others are not nice if you don't speak French.
The owner/waitress literally told us to go away (in the rudest way possible, f word was used) when we insisted on paying electronically (which they're obligated to have since July 2022). Payconiq nor bancontact was an option, only cash, no surprise we couldn't get an official ticket.
Also, what they serve was awful.
Walked by with my 3 and 5 year old that needed the bathroom. Explained to be willing to pay. Both the man serving and the woman behind the bar were extremly unfriendly. We are just taking the train trip and are lunching in the village after. Definitely not here.
We searched the whole village this morning for somewhere to have breakfast but the only restaurants which had a breakfast menu were closed, at breakfast time. We went into this restaurant and I asked if they could do breakfast. Although they didn’t have a specific breakfast menu the man was very friendly and accommodating. We had crêpes, warm apple tart and coffee overlooking the river. It was all delicious.
First place we visited in La Roche en Ardenne... I like the no-nonsense atmosphere, feels like a real place, run by real people. Local beer was very good, omelette tasty. Will visit next time we're in town.
I don't understand all the negative reviews...
I came from New York to visit my family. Unfortunately, I had no idea where I was going.. clearly ‘the most disgusting FOOD and most importantly ‘SERVICE’ ever! Lack of English, there was literally no one who could understand me. Therefore, sadly enough there was a lady who made awful comments which for me and my family was very disappointing. We love to visit Belgium and those people clearly aren’t a good example! The first thing I’m doing is to visit my doctor once I get back to New York! Guys please be careful out there!!
Raw food, disgusting behavior from the people who work there and even the woman in charge gave us racist threats. All because we had some complaints about the food. Which was totally not tasteful. You could see that the food came from a magnetron. A joke!! this is NOT IT. DO NOT COME HERE!
