Food was good, however felt pressured to leave, we was a little full, so asked for food to be packaged, but was only given the meat. Still charged full price. So was a bit disappointed with the service as staff were stood waiting for us to leave at 22.10 pm. Not a problem, but 90%of our meals was not in the package.

Party of four excellent service food fantastic. Would definitely recommend that you try this restaurant. We had shared platters and very nice and good value.

Right, were do i start. We called in on a spur of a moment.

As we came in, we were greeted by Emma and Josh..Very pleasant and waited on us very well. Then Sulo came and took our drinks and orders. The 3 of them were charming and so friendly. (Even the chef waved goodbye as we were leaving). We weren't sure on what to have so we chose our meals but still fancied tasting the mousaka. So we asked for a small portion to try. And he only charged us £5 for it. What came was a massive share portion. It was another full meal. Not that we were complaining. Overall, the drinks and food were fantastic. Lovely calming atmosphere. If you've never been. Definitely give this place a try. Could not fault it at all. A big well done and thank you. We will be going back. 10/10

Ended up going for the first time, we hadn't booked and just popped in on the off chance, they managed to squeeze us in were very accommodating. They were doing the South Shields restaurant week thing which was a bonus, so starters and main course for 11 quid. Food was great, lots of flavour and good portions, the staff were really friendly and the service was quick, but never felt like we were being hurried which is spot on. Will definitely go back and I am pretty sure they do takeaway/delivery so have that option too!

First time at Kuzey. What took us so long. Best Turkish restaurant in the North East. Manager is a fantastically nice guy, so hospitable and friendly. We had the falafel and hummus and the kisir, for starters, both were delicious, served with fresh bread. Then for mains we had the lamb ribs and the chicken Shish, both served with pilaf rice and very fresh salad, all fantastic. All washed down with draught Efes. This will become a regular night out. Thanks for a great night.

Went there tonight with my youngest daughter and her boyfriend, ordered our drinks,then our starters,good advice of the owner/Turkish guy,then placed our mains ,food came quite quickly and we were not disappointed. I had the mixed grill after the calamari which was gorgeous, the salad with it was divine,my daughter had a recommended wrap after her meat balls which she said was delicious, kyle had Turkish spice sausages followed by slow cooked lamb shank.there was a long chilli on each plate which was charred not burnt, but wow was that hot,all in all 10/10 will be back with the rest of family very soon.highly recommended.

First time here and we will be back. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, polite and kind. Food was amazing. We did a platter for two with a hot starter. Absolutely fabulous and I recommend the pomegranate tea, too. Absolutely will be back.
