Quick Facts About Kowloon Chinese Take Away

Kowloon Chinese Take Away place has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In terms of strengths, one customer mentioned that the food is fantastic, tasty, and contains lots of meat and spice in dishes like Singapore chow mein. Another customer highlighted that the Kung Po chicken is the best they have had, with bigger chunks of meat, more cashews, and a stickier sauce. The affordability of the food is also mentioned as a positive aspect. Additionally, one customer mentioned that they have been using Kowloon for years and the quality has always been pretty good, with the set meal for 2 being plentiful and feeding 4 comfortably.
However, there are also weaknesses that are pointed out in the comments. One customer expressed disappointment in the overall experience, describing it as the worst Chinese food they have ever had. They mentioned that the chicken and chips were soggy and flavorless, the curry sauce was vile, and the fried rice tasted weird and spicy. Another customer echoed this sentiment, stating that the batter was wet and not properly cooked, the chicken was soft and watery, and the sauce had no flavor. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the food quality and taste.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the lack of ambiance or atmosphere within the takeaway place. Since it is primarily a takeout food place, it does not receive many stars for its atmosphere. This could be a drawback for those looking for a more enjoyable and cozy dining experience.
In terms of value for money, one customer mentioned that they were charged for prawn crackers despite spending over £25, which they found disappointing. This suggests that the pricing or additional charges for certain items may not be favorable to some customers.
Other negative comments include the food not being hot upon delivery and a shortage of beansprouts in the chow mein. Additionally, one customer found the chicken curry to be too sweet. These criticisms indicate potential inconsistencies in taste, portion sizes, and temperature control.
Overall, Kowloon Chinese Take Away place has positive aspects such as delicious and affordable food options, as well as the ability to feed a large group comfortably. However, there are weaknesses highlighted in the comments, particularly regarding inconsistencies in food quality and taste, lack of ambiance, and potential issues with portion sizes and temperature control. It is important for the restaurant to address these weaknesses and work towards improving the overall customer experience.

Best KBFKR Reviews

This is a take away food place so that is why the atmosphere doesn't get many stars.
The new generation have exceeded the previous one. Food is fantastic, tasty and lots of meat and spice in my Singapore chow main (extra hot).
I was excited to try Kowloon as I’d heard good things from a friend.
Decided to stop in for some salt and pepper chicken, chips and Curry sauce.
It was without question the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The chicken was soggy and flavourless just like the chips. The curry sauce was bright orange and sweet and was just vile. Very disappointing experience, won’t be trying again.
What a load of rubbish! Worst takeaway I have ever had. The batter was wet and not cooked cooked properly. The chicken was soft and watery. The fried rice tasted spicy and really weird. The sauce had no flavour. The whole meal was an utter disgrace! Would not recommend to anybody.
Been using Kowloon for years and years. Over the years the quality has always been pretty good. It is a solid take out and the food is plentiful and tastes good. Like most Chinese it is a touch on the salty side but one of the better Chinese take outs overall. We have the set meal for 2 with additional prawn toasts and another meal, it feeds 4 comfortably. The only gripe I have is that they charge for prawn crackers and let's be honest, after spending £25+ it would be nice yo get something extra!
Best Chinese takeaway around , kung po chicken is so much better than anywhere else in any city, bigger chunks of meat, more cashews and sticker sauce, soooo good. I get it everytime I’m back in the North. So cheap too, only downside is cash only so have to search for a cash machine beforehand
Disappointed in the food, plenty of it but wasn't hot and a shortage of beansprouts in the chow mein, husbands chicken curry far too sweet. All in all not a happy experience.
What can i say, the building is illuminated with a striking yet sophisticated namesake for which it is legendry, once inside this glorious eatery you are attacked with the most delictable of staff which whom are impeccably kept (and dare i say up for any banter!) the food is very reasonably priced and in my opinion absolutely fantastic (ive seen my fair share of Chinese takeaways etc.) if it were feasable this local and friendly establishment would recieve 10 platinum stars from me, please call in and indulge!!!????????
Bland absolutely tasteless could not eat it batter was soggy chicken was boiled wet and floppy not been there for many years and will NOT be going again even prawn crackers were disgusting even our bin had all on not to spit it out we only tried it again because our usual takeaway let us down wish we had not been back what a massive waste of nearly £20
