Quick Facts About Kay's Salon

Strengths:

2. Connection with clients: Several customers mentioned that the stylists at Kay's Salon were able to connect with them on a personal level. This indicates that the staff is skilled in building rapport and establishing good customer relationships. A strong connection with clients can lead to customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
3. Quality work: Many customers expressed satisfaction with the quality of the haircuts and hair coloring they received at Kay's Salon. Positive reviews about the results of the services indicate that the stylists are skilled and deliver the desired outcomes. Consistently providing quality work helps maintain a positive reputation for the salon.
4. Referrals: One customer mentioned that they referred quite a few people to Kay's Salon, and all of them had positive experiences. Referrals are a strong indicator of customer satisfaction and can lead to an increase in new customers. The fact that multiple customers were referred to the salon implies that the services provided are highly regarded among clients.
5. Quaint atmosphere: One comment mentioned the quaint area of the salon, indicating a pleasant and cozy environment for customers. A comfortable atmosphere contributes to a positive overall experience and can make clients feel relaxed during their visit.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistency in service: A customer mentioned that they had a negative experience with a hairstylist who charged them more than usual for a trim. This indicates a lack of consistency in pricing and potentially the quality of service across different stylists at the salon. Inconsistencies can lead to confusion and dissatisfaction among customers.
2. Lack of expertise in certain areas: One customer mentioned that they were disappointed with their haircut from Kay's Salon. They were specifically hoping for expertise in cutting Asian hair but felt let down by the results. This suggests that the salon may not have specialization in specific hair types or styles, which can limit the range of services they can offer.
3. Poor customer service: A few comments mentioned negative experiences with customer service and hair stylists at Kay's Salon. Complaints included bad attitudes, uneven hair coloring, and water splashing during hair washing. Poor customer service can greatly impact the overall customer experience and deter clients from returning or recommending the salon to others.
4. Pricing issues: One customer mentioned that they were charged for toning but did not receive the desired result. Pricing issues can cause frustration and dissatisfaction among customers, especially when they feel they are being charged for services that were not effectively provided.
5. Lack of attention to detail: A customer mentioned that their hair turned out differently from the photos they showed the stylist, indicating a lack of attention to detail during the hair coloring process. Neglecting to achieve the desired result can lead to disappointment and a negative overall experience for clients.
In conclusion, Kay's Salon has strengths such as professionalism, connection with clients, quality work, referrals, and a quaint atmosphere. However, there are also weaknesses including inconsistency in service, lack of expertise in certain areas, poor customer service, pricing issues, and a lack of attention to detail. Addressing these weaknesses and building on the strengths could help improve the overall customer experience at Kay's Salon.

Best KBFKR Reviews

I've booked with Kang for 2 big sessions and 1 retouch/toning. She is always professional but knows how to connect with you and knows what she's doing. I had vigin hair for the longest time and wanted something new and found her via fb and thought I gave it a try. Best decision ever! My first session was an ombre bayalage, then my second session that I just had today was adding baby lights and touch up on my roots that's outgrown the ombre. Its beautiful and exactly what I asked for. I will be a returning customer because she knows my hair and she does a great job. Also, she's always so attentive when lightening my hair, making sure she checks on it periodically to ensure there's no breakage. Please do yourself a favor and book with her and her sister! (Also, during the time of covid, her salon is never overbooked so you can be at ease and feel safe and comfortable!)
I went to Kay’s Salon back when they were located in Brooklyn Park to get a bangs haircut. They did not do a good job. It was rushed. Years later 2021, I decided to get my hair professionally colored for the first time. Of course, I knew I should of listened to my own guts. I saw them on FB, thinking they sound so familiar but this time in a different location. Possibly could of been a different owner but similar name or at least I thought it was a place I never went to. Decided to book my first time hair coloring with them. I showed them photos of how I wanted my color to be. It was BROWN! So I asked her beforehand if my hair will turn brown, she said “it will be blonde first” so I was like… ok, I get it. It needs to be bleached first. But of course in the end, it was blonde. Totally different from the photos I showed her. I just left it though. I’m not the type of customer to complain. (But next time I am, I learned my lesson) On top of that, I swear they didn’t take out the $50 deposit I made into the total so my total was close to $600 for 5 hours. No way! Right then I knew they were the salon I came to years ago. Instinct regret. I wish they will go over my bill as to why the total is what it is. Anywhere else, I’m gonna ask for now on. NEVER GOING BACK TO KAY’S SALON EVER AGAIN! Worst first experience ever for my first time getting my hair professionally done. ????????????????????
Kay has always been my go to salon! Both haircuts and hair coloring! They are professional, friendly and quality work! You really get what you pay for me! Always a happy returning client 5+ years now.
Very nice staff and quaint area. Kay did a great job cutting my hair. Will definitely be coming back! I’ve referred quite a few people here and all have loved their experience so far.

Went back and got my hair cut by Mary. She charged me $36 for a trim of 2 inches. It was more than the usual $24. I don’t understand how the price went up so much. Save your money and go elsewhere. I was happy when I came here at first but I guess they charge more now that they don’t get a lot of clients. Not coming back.
I really enjoyed my experience at Kay's Salon. The gal who did my hair was Maya, you can follow her on Facebook (Pure Beauty by Maya). She worked carefully and quickly. I've gotten my hair done by a ton of different people. Maya's blend is out of this world! It looks so flawless. I went from a dark brown to an ash blonde in 4 hours. I am very satisfied with my results and will go again.
I was reading the reviews and was very hopeful for a nice haircut especially from Asian hair stylist as I assumed they had experience on cutting mostly Asian hair. I was wrong. I was the only customer waiting and asked for a haircut. Stylist did a great job at washing hair and prepping, and I trusted stylist to do a fitting haircut. But the end result was disappointing unfortunately although I really wanted to like it. Maybe next time I’ll just try coloring rather than a haircut here. That may be their specialty.
Kaylee is the best, she cut my hair and took her time, was very funny and kind. I absolutely love my hair now and I went there previously and they fixed my diy dye job. They are so wonderful ❤️ 10/10
Bad customer service and unprofessional hair stylist I went in for a hair color my hair turn out very bad color was so uneven. My root was orange she didn’t even tone my root but charge me $250 for toning, I ask my stylist to fix the Blochy part and she give me a bad attitude. I will never go back to this dirty salon whiling washing my hair she splash water into my face so rude and bad service. My face was spotting with toning chemical And also Got chemicals in my eyes whining washing out the toning Such a bad place and bad worker!
