I took my 5 year-old daughter here yesterday and we loved it! They were very friendly and patient with her while she got her nails painted and they were very well-paced with my acrylic nails. There have a few stations going all at once, so while there was quite a few people there the wait time wasn’t that long at all. It took less than an hour for my daughter and I to get our nails done, which gave my daughter plenty of time to show hers off to her friends! ???? She’s very excited about them and the experience she had here definitely aided in that. We will be coming back!
This place is EXCELLENT! Would 100% recommend this salon to everyone! Very professional, love to make sure you’re having a good time every visit, give you honest feedback, do anything you ask, and very reasonable prices for the service! I’ve never been more pleased with a nail salon before!
My daughter and I went to this salon recently and I can’t say enough good things about it. There was a wait but well worth it as they take their time and ensure customer satisfaction. Very reasonable prices as well. Much better than other salons in Marion.
Normally this is a good place to get your nails done. However, today I had an appointment for a fill and things didn't go so well. The person that did my nails did them in a huge hurry. The gel polish seriously looked like a child had applied it. There were spots missed and areas of skin around my nails that had polish all over them. I'm not one for conflict, so I simply paid my bill and left- she got no tip as my nails were clearly trashed. I then went to another nail salon and got the gel polish redone. I can safely say that after this debacle, I will not be going back here again.
Love the professional services provided! I went for a fill and left booking my next appointment and a pedicure. Not the first time I visited. My last nail tech didn't deliver the color I selected. Luckily, he wasn't there today and I left happy. Ask for Nathan ????
The building looks nice but that is about it. My experience here was awful and I will not be going back again. My cuticles are sore, I was cut multiple times by the dremel. When I pulled away or said ouch it was ignored. Almost every nail is at an angle and not completely straight. I asked to have them refiled and they did attempt that but the nails are still crooked. Some nails are wavy, some nails the acrylic goes all the way down and onto the cuticle; and the design doesn’t look much like the photo I referenced. I paid 60 dollars for this set and I honestly wouldn’t have paid 5.00 with this result. Do not waste your money here.
I debated on wether or not I was going to write a review of my experiences with K Nails — but I ultimately feel like I have no choice now.
I have been going to K Nails for about a year and a half off and on, and quite frankly it’s been very hit or miss depending on the tech I see (Nathan is amazing), but this last visit borders on neglectful. I went in to remove a set of acrylics and to put a gel polish on. Normally I’d remove nails at home myself, but I have a newborn at home so I didn’t want the acrylic dust everywhere and frankly I just didn’t have the energy. The technician who removed my acrylic set took to them with clippers and proceeded to just rip the nails off and only soaked 3 of them before proceeding to rip them off — leaving every single nail of mine damaged to the point of needing bandaids and being brought to tears during normal household tasks.
I understand when the adhesive is weak that clipping acrylics can loosen them even further, allowing for easy removal, or even to let the acetone completely dissolve the glue, so I didn’t think anything of it at first. Fast forward 20 minutes, 7 destroyed nails later… I sat in the chair with tears in my eyes and my hands shaking. Unfortunately I’m a people pleaser with crippling anxiety, or I would have said something the first nail he ripped off. Instead I just sat there for fear of being a hassle.
When you go to an establishment the assumption is that the person you’re paying the service for knows more than you, so you trust them. I was gravely mistaken in this case and now it will be a rough few months while my nails grow the severe damage out.
And just to clarify — no, I have not reached out to the salon. They don’t exactly make you feel welcome for complaints or criticisms based off of signage at each station, and again I have that people pleasing anxiety. Besides… there’s nothing they can be or could be done at this point. Their manicures and nail art is great… but maybe don’t trust them for other maintenance.
I’ve been an avid acrylic/dip powder user for years. It’s hard finding a nail salon that meets so many expectations but this salon is it. They were all nice, informative, the atmosphere seemed friendly, and here’s the plus I didn’t leave the salon with a single cut unlike most local salons. 10/10
