Absolutely terrible dark dingy dirty staircase you be a mountain lion to climb the staircase||There is no lift available and you find the staircase. It’s very steep and wind around on itself so if you’ve got a heavy case, it’s gonna be very difficult for you and your families to get into one of the top rooms.|||The way which the so-called hotel has a so-called in a very loose term it’s very poor very dated and all you gotta do is look at the photos and explain to you.|||Honestly, give this a wide birth. Find something better if only for your mental health.
We booked our anniversary dinner based on a previous visit years ago in the restaurant.. Expecting a culinary experience high end. The restaurant and food changed drastically. No one in the restaurant or at reception desk to welcome us. Had to go find someone. One young lady doing bookings, serving at the tables and taking care of hotel and payments. The food came in waves. Meat - no fries- then fries- sauce another 5 min later. Food - average- very few customers- the class it had in the past has disappeared , unfortunately. This used to be high end restaurant with professional waiters beautiful tasty food and a great atmosphere. It’s now an average diner with a printed menu on a paper placemat. Would not “celebrate” another meaningful event here.
I ate here while staying at the hotel. The food was good. The hotel was good for a work trip. The room was clean and the location was good. The hot water ran out very quickly. I would not recommend for a family vacation but it was sufficient for a solo business trip.
Fantastic, kind and warm people||Stayed for 2 weeks before moving in to accommodation. Everyone here has been so friendly and helpful. There is a family feel about the hotel and restaurant. House keeping have been extremely kind. Doing laundry which being here for 2 weeks has been a massive help. I honestly don’t believe I have stayed in a hotel like this anywhere in the world.||Food at the restaurant is awesome. Sorry to have to||Leave but will always want to come back and stay.
Adequate. Atmosphere is standard. We ordered steak. It was a bit overdone and the quality wasn't worth the price. The Aperol Spritz was meh. We should've been tipped off by how empty it was on a Sunday evening. We were the only two customers for the first 45 minutes or so. I won't be going back.
We booked 5 rooms on a trip to Mons to play a concert in Lens. The rooms were basic but clean and spacious for the price paid. A great location for Mons area as parking is so easy also being just out of town. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We didn't use the restaurant due to concert commitments but all looked good in the restaurant area. A special thanks to the front desk receptionist young lady who was very helpful. We will use this hotel again if we return. An enjoyable stay ! Thanks !
I am very sorry to give you a bad feedback for the second time. I send a previous client to your hotel but she didn't tell why she didn't like your establishment. Here my client took a picture of her room's wall : the painting of the walls is crumbled. She took a picture of the quality of the hard boiled egg she wanted to eat and the egg yolk was oxidized which means that the eggs was boiled days ago and was not fresh food. The price of 110 € is far too high for the service you offer and I will not send client to your hotel anymore. The outside of the hotel is better than the inside if I have to leave you a good note!
- I booked a double room with a double bed but was given a twin room with 3 single beds||- The weather was hot during our stay and there was no air con. The rooms were boiling. As soon as I walked in the room I would sweat. It was even too hot to dry my hair||- On my booking it said my room came with a fan. It didn't.||- No hairdryer in the rooms||- One of the evenings we were sat in the garden waiting to order some drinks. There were only a few other people sat out there. The member of staff served all other tables, could see us sat there but didn't come over once. After about an hour of waiting we went to the bar ourselves order the drinks and carried them out.||- There was a horrible smell in the garden. It was really strong. Smelled like sewage. Someone told me there was a problem with their drains||- As the evening went on loads of May bugs and Mosquitos started flying around the garden and it was getting quite cold. We decided to sit inside. The member of staff (the one who previously ignored us) shouted at us to get out. He said we was not allowed to sit inside unless we was eating (bearing in mind we was drinking from there bar) We asked what they do in the winter but the guy just kept shouting at us shooing us away. We ended up just sitting in the tiny hall way. We then went to order another drink and he told us no the bar was closed. It was only 22.00 and there were no notices around or anything mentioned on the hotel information sheet which had the timings of breakfast etc to say the bar shut at that time. He then turned off all the lights and shut/locked the door next to where we were sat. We felt like he was rushing us to go to bed. He kept looking really stroppy as well.||- On the last day I went to go pay for my hotel room and check out but the hotel had already taken the funds from my account the previous day. When I booked the room it said the card details you entered at the time off the booking was just to reserve the room and the hotel wouldn't take any money from the card. This meant that you can pay on a different card when you leave. This mucked up my funds as I was going to pay with another card.||. The breakfast is expensive for what you get. Not much variety at all and the rolls etc are tiny.||- The hotel advertises wifi but it's shockingly bad. I was there on a business trip so wifi is needed.||The only good points is that the garden is nice and the food is lovely (a bit expensive) but very nice!
