Quick Facts About Giacomo's Pizza Spackenkill

Giacomo's Pizza Spackenkill has a mix of positive and negative comments, which highlight both its strengths and weaknesses. In terms of strengths, customers have praised the quality of the food, particularly the specialty slices, and the friendly and quick service provided by the staff. The restaurant is also commended for its cleanliness and well-maintained premises, creating a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant's long history and family-owned status contribute to its positive reputation, with customers expressing loyalty to the establishment.
However, there are also several weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One major issue is the poor service experienced by some customers. Complaints about rude and dismissive staff suggest a lack of professionalism and customer care. The negative experience of one customer, in particular, highlights the importance of maintaining consistent and respectful customer service, especially during busy times.
Another weakness raised by customers is the inconsistency in the quality of the pizza. While some customers enjoyed the specialty slices, others found the plain regular pizza to be of poor quality, with tough crust and watery cheese. In addition, there are complaints about incorrect orders, missing items, and improper packaging.
Delivery service also seems to be a weakness, with comments expressing dissatisfaction with cold wings, late deliveries, and missing pizzas. Customers expect prompt and accurate delivery service, and the negative experiences mentioned affect their overall satisfaction with the restaurant.
Parking limitations and limited seating are minor weaknesses mentioned in the comments. Although they may not significantly impact the overall dining experience, they contribute to the inconvenience faced by customers.
In conclusion, Giacomo's Pizza Spackenkill has several strengths, including the quality of its food, loyal customer base, and well-maintained premises. However, weaknesses such as poor customer service, inconsistent pizza quality, delivery issues, and parking limitations can negatively impact the overall customer experience. Addressing these weaknesses and focusing on improving customer service and maintaining consistent food quality will be crucial for the success of the restaurant.

Food was great, service was not. There was an employee who was very angry about some personal issue she's having with another employee in regards to her daughter. She was loud, used foul language, and had no regard for the fact that paying customers could hear her. If, and that's a big if, we order again, it will be for take out. And I absolutely would not bring my 7 year old here to expose her to someone using the "C" word like that. Unacceptable.
We ordered a specialty slice and basic cheese pie for delivery. All went smooth.
But… we loved the specialty slice so much that my boyfriend and I came out in our pajamas to get 3 more slices!!
This place has been here my entire life.
20+ years. Family owned, small.
Not at all like most places around here. It’s very well taken care of. You actually want to eat inside.
Overall, the specialty splices… amazing!
Their plain regular pizza… is not my taste but that’s okay! The speciality slice made up for it by miles.
PS.. Nugget ????‍⬛ also approved of Giacomo’s Pizza.
10/10 will order again.
Good service, poor quality pizza that looks much better than it tastes. We ordered one of the specials with sausage and peppers for takeout. It was prepared in a timely manner for a fair price, and the person who checked us out was nice. On the 5 minute ride home, however, the deep pool of greasy cheese in the middle managed to shift and spill over the edge of the pie even though my husband was very gingerly holding the box flat. I love a healthy cheese layer but this was toooo much. The sauce underneath was watery and light pink, sort of like a cheesy-tomato-water emulsion seasoned only with salt. Though the crust had a decent appearance, it was seriously tough—and the juxtaposition of tough crust and watery cheese slop floating overtop is unsettling. I hope this pizza was the result of someone having a major off-day and the perfect storm of ingredient shortage flubs, though I suspect not.
Door dashed a big order...pizza wasn't delivered...wings were cold and smothered in sauce. Salad was not fresh and disgusting. Bread on salad looked like bread and it was dry like bread. Meatballs were awful, they should be embarrassed. Sausage roll was good though...
Update. Original order that included pizza was called in at 530 pm. When order came without the pizza it was 630. Called restaurant then to tell them about missing pizza. Called the restaurant again at 705 and they said it was on the way. Called again at 740. Pizza was finally delivered at 745. No apologies whatsoever from driver. Was going to be one star but added one for how nice the girl was who we talked to when we called at 740. She was very apologetic and offered us a free pizza and discount on our next order. They at least made it right.
Giacomo's is a staple. The staff is always friendly and quick with deliveries at this specific location. The food is always fresh and warm regardless of stopping in to pick up or getting your food delivered. Quality ingredients. My go tos are the dinners or many pizzas they offer. As someone who is picky with their pizza, this is a great option. Parking is limited at this location as the lot is kind of awkward , but it's worth it.
The food is always good! You can never go wrong with a medium pie and wings. The wing sauces are homemade at this Giacomo's. I personally like the interactions I have at this one more. The lady that assisted me was very polite and knowledgeable on the flavors of the wings as it was my first time trying them. I will say I was displeased by how the young staff boxed the pizza crushing on one of the slices. Other than that, this is the warm welcoming Giacomo's in Poughkeepsie.
I came again two weeks later and I was very disappointed in how I was treated. In hectic environments I understand it can be stressful but the customer service I received was not up to par. The lady that took my order was rude and the gentleman that was working with her was rude to both her and myself. Overall will most likely not rerun to this Giacomo's.
Food delicious everytime....service is excellent and find dishes much better than any other Giacomos around this area. Soups are thee best. Pizza worth the trip to Spackenkill for sure.
Been ordering for years from there!! Pizza came wrong!!! Ordered 6 garlic knots with extra garlic only got 5 no garlic!!
