Best WLM Reviews
This restaurant comes close to traditional and authentic chinese food. The local chinese population are regulars here! I recommend ordering plenty of dumplings, but don't skip the main dishes (the crispy fried pork is amazing). The interior is not very cozy, but the food itself makes this restaurant great. It was a little unfortunate that a few dishes were not available as a skilled chef was not there (this seems to happen a little often, so you have to get lucky). Try to make a reservation, on the weekend it will be fully booked.
Awesome Cantonese classic.
Staff is super friendly- you’re being welcomed in their story, so be humble and ask questions if you have them in a respectful way ( shout out to the comments saying different things)
We went full out, hiiiiighly recommend:
Lobster with ginger
Dim sums!!
Friend shrimp balls
Thick noodles with beef
Probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in Antwerp.
Awesome place for really good chines food. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food. But never than less - if you are in Antwerpen and you love chinese food - that is the place to go???? don‘t forget your reservation a couple days before. Will definitely visit this place again
bbq pork is very tender and recommend to eat. Roasted duck and shrimp dimsum are tasty. The restaurant has many tables both couple, small for four and large for up to 20 ppl. The service is also good.
I have to say the dim sums were not bad. We definitely should've stuck to those, I can imagine that would've been an enjoyable experience.
Maar helaas, we went for mains: duck was super dry and fatty. It didn't taste right.
Chicken with black bean saus was supposed to be spicy, but it had 0 spice. The flavour was quite bland.
The rice was also way too mushy.
Overall, I recommend sticking to the dim sums.
+ Service was nice
+ Place gives authentic vibes
- Mains were bad ????
Misschien hebben ze lekker hoofdgerechten, maar zeker niet wat ik heb besteld...
Big stir fry Cantonese menu with dim sum options at dinner time was a draw to this place.
The setting, decor and service is definitely nostalgic. Also, a couple of dishes here transports me back in time to revisit or experience an older style of cooking, tastes and service.
Very expensive nostalgia trip overall for 2 warm dishes and a couple of dim sums.
????️ Yang Chow Fried Rice (扬州炒饭)
????????????
Some wok hei. Tasty with a good amount of ingredients. The char siew is authentic.
????️Sliced Fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce (酸甜鱼片)
????
Has the looks. Batter and fish did not go well. Too soggy and sauce lacks the signature robust sweet / sour taste.
????️ Dim Sum (点心)
????????
- Fried carrot cake was oily, salty but tasty.
- Would skip the chicken feet as it was not well marinated, not steamed adequately and was hard.
- The fried tofu skin roll is a tough disappointment. Overfried, hard and ingredients didn't taste much.
????️ Steamed white rice (白饭)
????
Bland, oversteamed and left sitting too long, dry to the taste.
????️ Jasmine Tea
????
Light jasmine fragrance but not so good tea quality.
Here are enough options for everyone, and fair price.
They have a lot of seats inside, an very friendly and helpful service.
Recommend to ppl who want to try Cantonese Chinese cuisine, suitable for dining with friends.
Hidden gem in Chinatown! Great authentic food with great prices.
Ordered a range of dim sum to include some roasted duck all of which were good. Chicken feet in black bean sauce was different but definitely top 2 of what we ordered, just yummy.
Enjoy ordering a wide range of real Asian flavors in their authentic cuisine and if you don’t know what to order, just show pictures.
Highly recommend! Just make sure to focus on the food and add some chili oil to make a smile on your face
