Best WLM Reviews

This is a perfect cosy place for a cold night -open grill in the middle of the restaurant will set you into a warm and relaxed mood. The food from grill is a must. Definitely good quality for a centrally located place with no shortage in tourist visitors.
We took the Menu-Set which is very reasonably price. They start from 15-20 euro.. which is with a starter, main and dessert. Drinks are also very reasonable compared to the restaurants 20meter closer to the market. I don't know why others review badly about this restaurant.. but we have a lovely night there and the waiteress also very friendly.
The only good thing about this place was it's location. We had some shrimp and some cheese crouquettes which were both small and covered in sauce which wasn't tasty at all. We then had muscles which were just awful! They had barely any sauce in the bowl so they were dry and tasteless and such a disappointment as we only had 1 day in Belgium and never had muscles so disgusting. The waitress said it was because they were out of season and not a good lot from the suppliers. As they knew this I don't know why they didn't take it off the menu! The dessert was okay but very small.
The toilets were very dark and the hand dryer wouldn't work properly, the table was wonky, you had to walk through part of the kitchen to get to the toilets and rest of the restaurant which was gross as loads of dirty plates to walk past, the waitress was rude and a small bottle of water cost €7.50. It was such a bad experience and to top it all off they tried to charge us extra for 'flavour' for the muscles (the most tasteless muscles I'd ever tried!)
We were initially taken aback to find that the menu boards outside that had drawn us in, were not available. They were inside the menu as well but we were told it was not available. It seemed comfortable so we decided to stay and choose something else. The food we had was fine although one of our party had to ask for the ribs to be cooked for longer.
Our problem came when we tried to pay. We were unable to split the bill which was extraordinary as everywhere else we have been there has not been any difficulty. This was not helped by the attitude of the manageress who claimed she was unable to help us. This was our final meal in Bruges where ALL other restaurants, shops and cafes have been a delight to visit. A nasty end to a wonderful Christmas break, NOT representative of Bruges hospitality.
Although the food was ok the table was very small and we were extremely squashed in, they are very greedy on the amount of people eating at any one time, but the worst thing I found was I was charged Euro 1.50 each for a tiny portion of tomato ketchup and mayonnaise, which I asked for after my meal arrived and I was not told it was extra, whatever next...charging for salt and pepper? with the amount of people booking here they just dont need to be that greedy. Give it a miss there are much better places to eat.
Bad, bad, bad. Looks welcoming but the reality is totally different. Waitress and manageress extremely rude. My 70 year old friends and I were held hostage in the restaurant by the waitress and chef and the police called over a 17 euro bar bill which we refused to pay due to the service we received following the waitress spilling my friend's dinner in her lap and refusing to deal with the situation in a civilised manner
Located just off the main market square in Bruges, this is still a 'tourist trap'. Don't expect too much in terms of quality of food it delivers and you won't be disappointed. Edible but there's so many more options to choose from in Bruges - if you research and have the time to get there. For us, we had three young kids, one in a buggy. It has space, it's quiet, it's warm and it's cosy for them. So the two stars is awarded based on the location and its quietness. Staff were courteous although lack a bit of friendliness. But quietness therefore is a reflection that food quality and price is not spectacular. So, eat here if you really need to.
After waiting nearly 45 minutes we were served chicken that was still raw (and came back the second time still a bit undercooked) and a steak that was meant to be medium but was so rare, blood filled the plate. We got a sorry it’s the chef’s first night and a bill for nearly 80 Euro. Very poor. We would not recommend!
