The whole group went to the toilet there. It's 50 cents p.P., I wanted to go, too. Greeted nicely and looked for the toilet. A waitress called me back and asked where I was going. I said I was looking for the toilet and I got the 50 cents there. She said "In Belgium, we ask for that". Now, I assume she wasn't being racist there but I don't really understand the IN BELGIUM add-on. I didn't feel welcomed there anyways and so didn't spend more time there. Don't know whether you should.

Food was average at best. Do not expect battered fish and chips although it is written as such on the menu. It is baked fish that is drenched in oil, served with a side of chips. Eel was overcooked and trout was tasteless.
If you like an aperitif that tastes like sugar syrup and cheap gin, go for the house aperitif. The waiter was defensive when given feedback, and said they've been serving this for 12 years.
On top of that, we got a bottle of sparking water caked in rust and dirt.
I wouldn't recommend going to this place to pay for sub-par, overpriced food.
The owner made us feel welcome from the first second. If you are visiting De Haan and are looking for somewhere to eat and relax THIS is the place.
Really nice service and tasty dishes.
