Best midnight snack ever..! This place is open late and I drove here to eat some good Vietnamese food after touching down at LAX on a late night. I enjoyed the rice porridge with chicken and duck and it was delicious! The taste is very authentic and the chè is good too. The server was friendly. Perfect place to eat Vietnamese food!
Food: ordered the duck porridge, 1/2 duck special order. It comes with big bowl of porridge, 1/2 duck, and big plate of gối. All were super delicious! On the table there is the sauce to eat with anything and everything. This special order comes with 1 refill of the porridge and 1 refill of the gối. However, the refill is about 3/4, not the full refill. It was more than enough for 2 people!

I would come back JUST for the duck porridge!
The food was extremely good. The congee and soup broths were extremely flavourful and it was relatively cheap for the amount you got. I would recommend the half chicken or duck as you get one free congee and salad refill.
Bad customer services. Get in earlier than 2 other groups. We haven't got our order when other 2 group almost done their meals. We have kids so tried to ask if they forget our order? She said sorry they're busy but why people come behind and get serve first. Finally, got food after asking to talk to the manager. Not recommend.
90% of the menu is porridge. I think their chicken porridge is the best. The food is good and the price is reasonable. Also, they close late on Saturday. The parking lot is full on Friday & Saturday around the restaurant. Cash only.
First stop in our Cali trip because we just wanted something quick and easy. We didn't expect it to be so good. We got the Com Hai Nam, Chao Long, and Trung Cut Lon. Everything was so good. The portions were huge and for only $12! The chicken was very tender and the ginger dipping sauce was perfect. Definitely will be back!
This place reminds me of cháo vịt Thanh Đa in HCMC. The porridge is amazing - well seasoned and a little watery - just the way I like. The duck and salad are delicious as well! Blood sausage is pretty bad; it is more like a normal sausage and idk I don't even think they put blood in it :/ Chicken rice is very good as well! The short ribs porridge is a little disappointing. It is def not the northern version, and I'm not even sure if the meat is short ribs since there is no bone - idk I'm a little confused about what it is.
I love the porridge here along with the chicken salads.
Will upgrade to 5 stars when owner decides to give the workers their tips instead of taking it all - especially for a cash only business. Also they need to stop serving the bowls with their thumbs going into the bowl (even with gloves on).
