Best WLM Reviews
Brook did a great job as a server. Refilled our drinks and replaced my husband's burger as the bun was over-cooked. Loved the fries and onion rings. The Indian Taco salad was tasty.
The steak was cooked perfectly. The waitress did an amazing job. The salad bar was in need of restocking and wasn't a lot to choose from on it but it was good. Everything was hot and fresh. My only complaint was the steak lacked flavor. It was seasoned lightly with salt and pepper. If it had been marinated, this would be a top 5 steakhouse.
When my son said he was going to OK, I said, "Would you take me to the Cherokee Trading Place and Restaurant?" He said ok. I was so grateful, I love their food, it reminds me of home cooked food. When we got home, we got a bill for tolls, so we probably never make it down there again, and it's a shame. There were no signs saying tolls ahead, so I have no idea where we ended up getting them from. We even had NO tolls checked on Google maps, Google must be working with OK and KS to get people on those toll roads. The restaurant was clean and they had a T-shirt available for purchase. I asked if they had a size 3x, but they said the manager wasn't there, so I couldn't get one. Disappointed.
Chicken fried steak was the best. Was too full to try the pies but they looked delicious
Had the Indian Taco special, and a slice of cake for dessert. Very tasty. Plenty to take home and enjoy later. Service was a bit slow at the beginning; waitress didn’t come around for a hot minute. Then, all was good.
The staff were really pleasant and helpful while everything else was average. We ordered the Indian Tacos for take out. They were fine and we enjoyed them, but they weren't "the real thing". Would eat there again in a pinch, but won't seek it out.
I was very disappointed in this place, it was around 3 when we stepped in to grab a bite. The place was empty. you would think they knew how to make fry bread, but it was very thick and dry and looked more like baked bread. The bison burger was ok. I mean, how can you mess up a burger? The bathroom was clean, only two seater. There is plenty of parking. They sell a few goodies like honey, salsa, and fired pies, also smell good wax.
The buffet was okay. The barbeque was rather sweet but tasty. I enjoyed the slices of pies I ate. The service was good and bit was a family-friendly environment.
