What a beautiful place

However..

The drive through pharmacy was a long wait

But I believe it was the peak of the day

From check in to triage to registration to Doctor, I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I went to the bathroom and was appalled at my appearance which makes their treatment of me even more impressive. Wonderful, beautiful people. Thank you very much !

I love ALL of the doctors, nurses, and receptionists here, they are all very kind, very caring people. Nevertheless. Today was the first time i have taken time to check out the cafeteria, and ive never met more rude service anywhere. Major disappointment!

We had a dental pediatric appointment and it went flawlessly. Diana, our pediatric dentist went above and beyond for my son. She made my son feel comfortable and was such a light, especially when you're nervous. Thank you for being excellent!

Let’s just say if you are an adult and go to the dental clinic make sure you don’t get Dr. Smiley and let me tell you why. First off with a name like Dr. Smiley you would think she would have some personality but that is not the case she is the next thing to a robot but I probably would have gotten better care from a robot. So I call to make my appointment to get a treatment plan going… we’ll I know I needed a tooth pulled because it was loose and since it’s the Indians they can’t do anything because they are “Limited” well I get it pulled and I know she sees on the X-ray that the tooth beside it has a bad cavity and mind you I find out everything bad she did when I went to a REAL DENTIST OFFICE. She took an hour to pull my tooth and shredded my bone in my gums like she didn’t know what she was doing she took so much bone out they don’t even know if I can get an implant because it’s been almost 4 months and it looks like I got it pulled last week, when she pulled it she cracked the tooth next to it because you know THERES A DEEP CAVITY and what does that going to do make it an abscess and she didn’t even tell me she cracked it didn’t give me antibiotics didn’t have a plan to fill it she just wanted to pull it. I mean my mouth health has gone completely backwards ever since she has touched my mouth. Now I get to pay thousands of dollars to fix her mistakes. If you just don’t care about your patients or don’t know what you are doing. Maybe your in the wrong practice babe. Then I go in Monday because I had an abscess so I went to see Dr.Russel she started a root canal knowing it was an abscess, didn’t give me pain pills I had to ASK HER for antibiotics and after Monday it was all down hill my mouth swole so big I could not swallow. I have gone to 3 different dentist and they are frustrated by the way I was treated because they know that’s not right. Some of them have even worked in that dentist office and could not understand how I got treatment that bad. I went her 4 years ago to a dentist and I cannot remember his name but he was so caring and helpful. But the dentist they have in there now they need a new rotation of DRS because they are very useless.

This is a massive facility. There are plenty of parking spaces, large clean restrooms. Elevators and wide staircase to accommodate anyone.

I have spent over a year and a half attempting to establish care at this hospital. There have been at least 7 appointments that have been cancelled for a variety of reasons, but most of the time I am told the doctor no longer works for the hospital. Every time an appointment gets cancelled, I have to wait at least two months for the next one. The last one was cancelled as I was standing in line to check in for the appointment. I went to speak to a patient advocate and was told I "shouldn't even be going there anyway" because I don't live in the tribal area. I really wanted to go to a Cherokee facility as opposed to a general tribal hospital and didn't mind the extra 15 minutes added to the drive. Apparently that is not okay. I've given up and established care elsewhere at this point, but this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience that resulted in my health care being put on hold.

If you need to get something done, prepare to be transferred over the phone 5-6 times until they just drop the line, and once you go in to try and handle it, expect the same. I needed a simple doctors note, and to reschedule a heart monitor appointment that I was never told a time confirmation or day for. Aside from the heart monitor being unable to be put on until Friday now, making me miss yet another day of work after a complete lack of communication I was promised so that I can go about the hours long process of doing anything at this facility, I was directed to go to Urgent care for the doctors note. Then urgent care directed me back to the facility, to speak with primary care. Then primary care directed me to medical records department. Then the medical records department referred me back to urgent care. Inevitably, I had to leave empty handed because I’m not spending another half day just trying to sort out the completely unprofessional quality of care at these facilities. It seems like quite literally nobody has an understanding of how the facilities work there, or a sense of accountability when you’re told “we’ll call back with a confirmation when we can get you in” but never call so of course you miss an appointment you were never made aware of. Sick of this and sick of the time wasted here. I’d rather go into crippling debt for the medical care I need than to continue to decline as a result of the lack of care and accountability received here constantly.
