This is the fourth time I’ve tried this place and it’s the third time I’ve tried the buffet. I came here on a whim for my second visit when Popeyes drive though was packed, We came this trip because some friends from church were coming.
My 2nd Visit
I was handed a glass when I walked in and told to sit anywhere I liked. So I got my drink and found a table. I scanned the buffet first to get the lay of the land and then proceeded to load up my first plate. I’m not a fan of the fried rice. It definitely needs help. I tried little bits of a lot of dishes so I could make a good assessment. Most things were below average fare but the House Chicken struck me as being the best dish I tried but that's not to say it was great by any means. It was chicken in a somewhat spicy sauce with mushrooms. ???? The spring and egg rolls left me wanting something better.
A girl came around and checked on me a couple times but it’s like most buffets, they just leave you alone.
Update:
After 4 tries, I'm done. This place is terrible and we always leave feeling gross. I don't know if it's the MSG they load it up with or what but it's a total waste of money. The food isn't good at all. In fact, it's barely tolerable.
So would I go back? Absolutely not. If you are looking for Chinese food, go to Yummy Sushi, Shreveport/Bossier, or choose another cuisine in Minden, This just doesn't cut it.
A great place for your love one to go out and eat. Great food and good services to. I when today and it was wonderful.
Food was not hot and was not very good. The fried rice was good but the rest... not so much. Disappointed!!!
I went there with my friend. The music was a little louder than needed lol. There was sushi, jello, yummy little brownie cakes, crab meat, the best ice cream, sweet and sour chicken, mini popcorn shrimp, rice and ect in the buffet.
Nice and quiet. The crawfish had a nice kick. All the food was fresh and rotated well. I recommend not bringing kids as it was expensive.
The service was okay I guess, the food was garbage, the rice tasted like plastic, the mushrooms tasted mid, (I love mushrooms btw), you can tell that no one decided to change out the food because the mushrooms had to be at least a day old, or the sauce on them at least. The drinks were fine I guess but should I even count fountain drinks though? The service was okay because they gave us a discount since we didn't enjoy it. By one thing stopping this review from being a 1 star is the atmosphere, it looked great in there and smelled nice too, the music playing in the background was nice as well.
Gross and yucky... food is always old and hard and barely edible. Our stomachs are cramping now.. never again.
Omg tonight my friend and I were eating and two roaches crawled behind me!!! She also saw hair in the egg rolls...we lost our appetites and told the guy and he quickly thanked us and rushed us out of there without having to pay
