Wow… this is THE BEST fried chicken. Got some great cornbread too. Food comes out quick hot and ready. The chicken has a good kick to it. Good workers. All in all a very good trip. Will be going again
If you want some delicious chicken, GO TO CHEF'S. its ways fresh. The cornbread is amazing. I usually dont get the other sides except for fries. The white cake melts in your mouth, my husband loves it. Friendly atmosphere. The people and the patrons are always nice.
I ordered a gizzard dinner eith a liver dinner chosing okra and slaw as my sides. They added an onion ring to my order. I dont even eat onion rings. No sooner the cashier tooky order she walked to the back and i had to wait till 3 other customers were served till i got my drink. I finally get the order and this when i found out they added onion rings and didnt have the okra. The liver looked and tasted like it been in the fryer for 20 mins.
I’ve ordered the fish Poboy two different times now. Each time I served the best fish poboy I’ve ever had. The bread has that thin crunch on the outside with the soft inside. The fish is the same. It’s perfect.
Walked in there was a young lady playing on her phone.. The chicken looked phenomenal! I placed my order for a 4 piece white and 4 piece dark. Red bean n rice for one side and dirty rice for the other. After she finished texting she proceeded to start my order.
She put her phone down and proceeded to open the chicken boxes, placing the wax paper inside, adding the chicken. She made the sides..she left a good inch of space in the dirty rice and gave me 3 parts rice to 1 part red beans. At the register while ringing me up she answered a few texts and I ordered 2 large drinks. She handled the cups with her fingers on the inside after touching the register her phone and a few other things. Take note, I never mentioned she washed her hands before touching the inside of the chicken boxes and the wax paper..
Opened our boxes and the order was wrong. Had 3 wings and a thigh and a leg..
The skin of the chicken.. DELICIOUS! The rest... well dried out from sitting in the window. The wings were totally inedible.
The dark meat was not as dry and had good flavor BUT...Shame too.. the chicken was beautiful!
Very inconsistent. There are times the food is awesome. Then, there are times the food is absolutely terrible. The fried chicken is great when it's good, but a waste of money when it's bad. Seasonings range from salty, to perfect, to diabetic chef. It's your choice...just pray for a good day in the kitchen!

Chicken is average, but service needs alot to improve.
People who work there serve like if their doing you a favor, not with the best attitude.
Also they do not provide with utensils. Chicken is just as greasy as it could get, and they dont even give napkins or ketchup on to go orders.
Went here because of the good reviews, but seems like its like a neighborhood dinner.
