It’s a cute family owned business. The steaks are delicious (soft bread, fresh crispy fries, seasoned steak. Just yummy and the service is refreshingly pleasant! Forgot to take a pic before we started eating so what you see is 1/2 way through and doesn’t do the food justice.
This was our 1st time here, the food was good, nice size portions, staff was friendly. Fried mushrooms were great & came with their homemade ranch dressing. My "cheese steak" could have definitely used a lot MORE cheese. Nice portion size of onion rings, but they charged for ranch dressing but ketchup was available & free. Just so you know if you are eating there it was really very hot inside the restaurant (uncomfortable). Very pricey in my opinion, 3 people, 3 sandwiches, 3 drinks, 3 sides was $60++
Let me start by saying, the service was great! There was a new young man being trained at cash, and the woman helping was kind and patient. Both were great. The food... so bland! I ordered a steak with provolone, onions and pepper. The bread was good, but the sandwich had no flavor. Not even salt and pepper. The gravy fries were okay, gravy was super lumpy which was off-putting. My husband ordered a different type of sandwich and said it was okay. He ordered chili cheese fries, and also said they were only okay. Unfortunately we've heard good things, but won't be returning. There are just too many better options around.
They were also out of fried pickles, pierogis, and a couple other apps we were trying to order.
Oh, and there was a big booger on the side of our table, with a hair sticking out of it! ????
Small place with great food. The locals love it. When tourists find it; they feel like they've found a hidden gem in terms of the quality of the food and the variety of specials. Customer loyalty card is a nice extra for locals.
I've been coming here for years on my lunch break. Today I tried to drive through and ask if I could place an order and then I would wait and come back around because I know they don't want us to block up the drive-thru. The lady refused to take my order unless I went inside and there were only three cars in the parking lot I guess they are done servicing people
This is the rudest response I ever read from a owner. I have been coming here for years and there is no way that that lady inside with nobody at the counter could not say I can take your order but you'll have to drive around and come back through in about 10 minutes. That is what I was expecting I am not better than anybody to not follow the rules. I hope whoever this manager is gets re-reviewed because that was completely rude
Such a good Philly!! Very comparable to ones I had in actual Philadelphia. They have so many different versions. I got the Dario and I added cheese wiz, it was so good. Super affordable and you get a lot of sandwich. Make sure to add cheese wiz, it’s more authentic, and it really adds! They have appetizers, sides, cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, burgers, and more! Their Fish Fry on Friday and Saturday looks super good! I highly recommend!!
Staff is friendly as all get out, but that is where the good stuff ends. The food was just okay. I had a Philly Cheesesteak & Onion Rings. It was okay, the onion rings were clearly frozen, not fresh. My wife's meal was about the same, okay, but nothing seemed like it was fresh/homemade. For just okay the price was high. I get it, everything is expensive now, but for 2 sandwiches, onion rings, fries, and a couple sodas, it was all but $50 by the time we included a tip. Sorry, but with so many other options in the area, I think you can do better.
Highly recommended by so many folks for a Good Friday fish meal we decided to order! We got 2 regular fish dinners & a Junior dinner. Junior is plenty for an adult or regular could be shared for a nice piece each! Both came with delicious fries, homemade coleslaw (white base garlic) & homemade tarter. Everything was DELICIOUS. Generous fish portions, flaky, batter wasn’t heavy, not greasy. Super Yummy! Never thought a “Cheesesteak” joint could pull it off but they did. We will be back to try your many menu items that sound delish! Thanks again, your new customers from SS
