The restaurant is in a good location and has plenty of parking. We arrived close to closing time but we were not going to take long so we came in and we were welcomed. We sat and right away we were offered coffee and water. The menu is made of paper and had a coffee stain so i wished they had something more clean.
Ordered omelets since it seemed like a good choice. The order came in fast and the food tasted good, not salty and I like that a lot, but a bit greasy. The salsa bottle on the table has salsa around so it was not cleaned and I wished it was. As for the service, I liked it, our server did come around and was wearing a face covering so I liked that she was careful.
The place is big and they do offer outdoor seating, at the time I got there, the area was closed because it was late but I liked that. They offer free parking and it is a big lot.
Perhaps we came in at the end of the day so maybe that's the reason it was an OK experience. I did like their menu so perhaps next time it will be a better experience.

This is her regular breakfast place. My skillet ???? was awesome.
Mommy squirrel ????️ and I had a great Sunday breakfast ????????. Our host Dasisy always took care of us. We ordered a BLT and meat ???? skillet. BLT came with soup ???? and fries ????. The skillet came with pancakes ????????????????????. Was a good ???? breakfast including two drinks the price was reasonable for the area.
Good breakfast and delicious too was only but a couple of tables occupied when we got there I had Belgium waffle with peaches side of cool whip my husband had 1 egg , sausage patty, side of fruit and pancakes all was very yummy very friendly staff we were greeted with a hello and good morning when we walked in also our waitress said good morning. I liked the soft sound of guitar playing as we’re eating our food
???????????????????? by the time we left place was busy and orders being picked up. Definitely recommend we’ll be dining here again. ????
Food:
Decent food, not the very best in town. Some of the dishes may be good, we tried soup (which was very nice), egg Florentine and checkers special. All in all food was decent and inexpensive.
Server:
our server was really nice and friendly, service was also quick and server was very informative about the menu.
Ambiance:
Nice and spacious breakfast/brunch place, ample amount of parking available.
Checkers has a classic diner atmosphere. Our server was kind and attentive. I had the buttermilk pancakes with blueberry syrup. The batter was a little dense for my liking, but I still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The bacon was thick and the poached eggs cooked perfectly. The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms tidy. I enjoyed my visit to Checkers.
Great service food was fantastic. Louisiana hot sauce yay. ???? must go treat yourself. Always satisfied. It's ran like a well oiled machine.
I used to go to Richard Walkers's pancake House in Schaumburg and was a regular there for about four years. I was disappointed with the way the new owners have decided to run the restaurant, so on the suggestion of a friend of mine, I tried checkers. I have been going there for just a few weeks now, but I am now a regular and go there practically every day of the week. The food is fantastic, the owners are wonderful and I have never found a better breakfast place to go to. I eat out on a daily basis For breakfast, lunch and dinner. I absolutely love that the owners personally walk around to each table to make sure everyone is enjoying their food and if they need anything. It is always a wonderful experience at this restaurant and I strongly and highly recommend if you have never been here before, I recommend you try them.
