Best WLM Reviews
Every foodie in LA should take a ride and try the amazing chicken that this establishment has to offer. I was able to try their newest sandwich with fried chicken skin and chicken salad with the Charlie sauce. The sandwich was crispy, cream and also has a sweet and spicy kick from the sauce.
I admit that I really like these sandwiches a lot and I think they are better than the big chains.
My second favorite item on the menu were the garlic noodles. They were really garlicky which no really enjoyed.
The chicken tacos were crispy and creamy and reminded me of a way better version of the Jack n the box tacos.
The chicken was also good.
The banana pudding is outstanding and from a local bakery.
The peach cobbler is official and made in house.
Check this place out if you’re looking for some unique chicken.
Best fried chicken In LA fr fr ....!!!!!!! ????
I wish I could eat this ???? everyday 4 for piece 9.99 ???? chicken & waffles ???? ???? I came from Hartford Connecticut 2 try the food . 10 out of 10
It’s really good in the hood. Got there right before closing after leaving Sofi and everything was still very fresh and on point. Had the honey butter chicken and the garlic noodles. Even after a half an hour trip back home, the chicken was still crispy and the noodles were perfect. The garlic noodles are huge and will feed you for a couple of meals. I wanted to try the chicken skins, but they were sold out today. I will be going here every time I pass by for sure.
I've lived 2 blocks from this place and was hesitant to ever try it because I don't really ever see it busy or getting much business. But today decided to finally try it out. I am pleasantly surprised. I ordered the 2 piece regular chicken meal with macaroni salad for the side. The chicken was crunchy, crispy and well seasoned, tasting very good. I also ordered a side of 6 pieces of the sweet Cajon corn. Delicious! They had quite a variation of menu items to choose from. The service was great. They give you a buzzer for when your order is ready as the inside is not really big enough to hang in there to wait, if other customers should come. Then you sit in your car or hang outside until your buzzer buzzes and I waited no more than about 5 minutes and my order was ready! Will definitely return and very much recommend.
Call ahead. Order will be ready when you get there. Cashier is friendly and efficient.
Chicken was just okay. We had a spicy wing and thigh. It didn’t taste freshly fried, had no wholesome chicken flavor, and even though there was some spice in the crust, the end result was mostly forgettable.
Curry rice was good and nicely spiced with big chucks of flavorless chicken folded in.
Even though the peach cobbler was cold out of the refrigerator case, you can really taste the compelling spice mix (maybe nutmeg and cinnamon), and just the right amount of sweetness in the slices of orange cling peaches, probably from a can, but that didn’t matter because they were just delicious. The crust was interesting, because not only did you have a crispy brown sugar covered crust on the top, there is also a layer of crust on the bottom.
$5 for cobbler and about $9 for the chicken lunch special.
Seen this spot several times while shopping near by. Hot water corn bread I'm sold just like my grandmother's. The greens had flavor however missing that punch of bacon or extra fat. The chicken ???? mind blowing 6 huge pieces pure white breast meat ! Homemade BBQ sauce. Order ahead no dine in.
The fried chicken is great. I think it's Korean style double fried. It's really crispy even after drizzling the honey sauce on it. I can also vouch for the Cajun corn. Oh yeah, I recently tried the chicken nuggets or popcorn chicken or whatever they were called. They taste good and were a great value for the price.
This place is takeout only. Chicken was cooked to order. It came hot and crispy.
Greens could use a bit more vinegar. I was told they were vegetarian.
Hot water cornbread was too sweet for me. Stick with the rolls.
Don't sleep on the chicken skins. They are a meal on there own. More places should make them. I got the lemon pepper but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Stick with the regular or spicy.
