Not sure what food these other reviewers tasted, but our food was gross. We ordered bbq ribs & chicken fried rice. The bbq ribs were burnt, tough, and tasteless. The chicken fried rice was nasty as well. The fried rice was ok, but the fake chicken that had the texture of packaging popcorn ruined it.
This was my go to Chinese food back in the day when I lived in Detroit. Haven’t been able to get good Chinese food north of 8 mile in a while. Decided to drive to Detroit to check out Chan’s again. Almond chicken and shrimp fried rice, just like years ago. I had a hard time calling in to place an order, but finally got through with food ready in 15 min. Arrived and waited 45 min. Although irritated on the wait, was well worth the wait. Don’t forget the egg rolls. The best of the best. Highly recommended.
Best food ever anywhere!!! This place stays busy because it's so good. She's super nice as well.
Chans has good food. My problem is you never know when they are open. The service is quick and the food is always hot, which I like. Chans has been in this area a very long time. They could very well update the interior while you wait.
I ordered 2 combos and as I was eating it I started to notice a strange taste once I bit into it was brown and wet
Haven’t even tried my food. The lady daughter sleep in the back. She don’t listen and my food not ready (called 20 minutes ago) update: food looks good but everything looks dark. Bad Grease city of Detroit health inspector ????
The food was okay. Nice customer service! She didn't get frustrated at my questions or I didn't get cussed out for asking them. That is a ++. Just couldn't stand the fact that's it's Cash only. I had to leave & come back because I only had a card. It was my first time there.
I'm still getting used to them, but me and my. Boyfriend loves the garlic ribs. I ordered mine extra spicy! Can't wait to have them again this weekend. I might go today and just get th3 gravy and white rice!
