I’m sitting there almost 5 hours being led on that they’re about to call me. Till 3am. Killer ear infection. 9/10 pain. Can’t think a thought.
“I can’t tell you how long it will take. We’re waiting for a bed to open up”
Do I look like I need a bed? I’ll hang upside down from the ceiling. You stick that thing in my ear and tell me if I’m gonna need medication. I go to my doctor and this process takes five minutes.
Went home. Pain has lightened up a little. With how bad it was, I’ll take it. Crazy ringing in my ear. Hope it doesn’t get worse over night.
if you have a baby, are about to have a baby, or get walked in by a police officer looking completely fine, then come here. They'll be able to see you instantly from what I’ve seen during this visit.
If you got anything else, find a different hospital or just wait till the morning till your physician opens. Both options will be quicker
I can't believe the level of care. And the nurses at this hospital.
So incredibly professional and nice. The place is incredibly clean.
Recently a family member has had Lengthy Stays at 2. 5 star hospitals. That didn't even compare to the level of care at this 3 star hospital. I am very thankful we ended up here....
DO NOT GO HERE EVER, if you care about your life or health go anywhere else. Terrible doctors who don’t care about their patients and don’t update charts with medications or orders. I was in pain without any proper treatment for 4 days begging to be let out. Finally my husband got a hold of the patient advocate and took me home. What a waste, I should have just given up and died instead of ever walking through the doors if that ER.
This is my second review, they somehow got my first deleted.
This hospital needs to be shut down or taken over. I am genuinely surprised that there aren’t a load of law suits or stories in the news about how poor of a hospital it is.
This er is not in the business to make you better. I told them symptoms I was having, which were similar to many diagnoses. However, they only checked 2, and never did triponin t test to check my heart or anything. I hate that this er has gone down so bad. They put money into renovation but are not cleaning and staffing. I was blatantly told there was no supervising physician available to speak to by Carol Noe and the nurse Amanda. As if I'm stupid and couldn't read the paperwork that stated supervising MD ,and to go to urgent care if I wanted further treatment, wow !!+
It's pathetic. I believe they thrive off of minimal treating patients enough to keep them coming back to milk insurance. I will be speaking with NJ medical board. After sitting in the er with 103.5 fever for over 2 hours and vomiting several times . Then being triaged by a nurse who dictates half of what you complain about.The nurse took my blood early and just left it on the table for two additional hours before only using 1 tube . 3 levels of my blood indicated bacterial infection, but yet this women is telling me it's viral. I had to argue with her and she says I don't want to get sued , I had to tell her before you discharge me with out treating bacteria you will be ! The mouthy nurse was chiming in as well WHILE SHES LETTING BLOOD POUR DOWN MY ARM FROM REMOVING THE IV , I stayed calm and was recording the whole time , she finally realized after I had to show her my blood work and show her what high nutriphiles and high wbc indicates she says ok I'll prescribe you but wait a few days to take it . I took the medication, and I immediately feel somewhat better today. This hospital er department is not the same anymore. Araydia is the only lpn that actual does physical body test , looks you over and shows care . Dr Dayner , and Lp Nicole as well but unfortunately they can't be there all the time .
The horrible reviews are true, experienced it myself recently. I went to the ER as my sciatica was acting up and I had shooting in my back and leg. I’d say pain was 10 on a scale of 1-10. I stumble in somehow and they offer a wheelchair. I explain that if it sit the pain gets worse. So they ask me to keep standing. I tell them that’s a lot of pressure on my back and I can’t take it right now. Pls give me a place to lie down and I’ll be happy to fill any forms you need. They flat out refuse and ask me to fill some forms:check in. Mind you this is when I am in agony. When the pain becomes unbearable, I just ask them to get some blankets, I put them on the floor, and just crash so I can get off my foot and finally get some relief. 10 min later a nurse comes in and wants to do my vitals. I request we do it before they actually take me in, I am still in the reception area. The nurse curtly says no we have to do it now. They make get up by myself, walk to the triage area and ask me Qs already asked at the time of check in. All while I’m standing and almost crying. After wasting 5 mins they just ask me to walk back to the my corner and lie down again on the floor because beds are still not available. I do it. I spend close to 30 mins lying on the cold hard floor with some blankets in between. Finally 30 mins later a nurse comes in and tells me they are ready to bring me in. They again offer me a wheelchair and I explain I can’t sit. So I had to walk. No stretchers were offered. Just made me walk. The doctors and nurses inside were good but the staff outside has 0 empathy for people in pain. This is an emergency room for god’s sake.
This place sucks. I told them I had a severely adverse reaction to medications I was taking and was severely dehydrated and became almost deathly ill. All they did was have me lay in the bed in the hallway for 2 hours, never even hooked me up to an IV or gave me anything to drink when I made it clear I was suffering from dehydration, and then ran a bunch of pointless tests that had NOTHING to do with the symptoms I was displaying and complaining about. So thanks for the useless visit. All this will do is give me a massive medical bill after all these pointless tests they ran. And all the head lady said was my symptoms were all self-created in my head. What a joke!!!
I was totally wrong about this place. Just be patient and give them time. They are doing their jobs the best that they can. Mercedes in the ER was the nicest and most helpful nurse I had. I think this hospital is great. And I don't understand the bad reviews. I just think people are impatient it's not right. These people get yelled at everyday. It's not right. Give them space . They are helping YOU
CentraState Emergency, Department Admitting. The absolute worst! Unfriendly, and unprofessional!! The triage nurse, and her little assistant have no compassion, are very rude, and really would be better suited working in a prison! Stone faced and cold!
