I was really looking forward to having Cecibon again after being away from Florida for over 10 years. The pikliz, fried chicken, the diri djondjon, and grito were so flavorful, I could taste my childhood. The service was average and slow, but understandable, there was one person at the counter Saturday afternoon and he was working hard taking and pushing orders non-stop. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a typical Haitian restaurant, nothing to see here, just get the food and go.
It was the worst Haitian food I ever ate. The rice has no flavor the sauce looks like water, the the other thing that they cut up with cabbage and carrots, was the worst nastiest thing I ever ate, and the food is not prepared properly. And when you call to explain to them, they give you an attitude like you’re supposed to tell them, the food was good when it was not good. Macaroni and cheese. What is the worst. I just wasted my time and my money please if you ever think of going there, don’t go. If anyone go here and eat and say the food is good, it have to be one of their friends or they just don’t know how to cook. Waste of your time waste of your money and waste of your gas driving to that place I don’t even wanna call the name. It’s that place if I could give it a zero instead of a one star, I would give it a zero.
Had some problems with my order but they were very nice about it and accommodated.
We ordered plantain, fish (tilapia), chicken and griot. To start of, the rice was good, the viand' sauce was very tasty, though very liquid. The plantain was not crunchy because they were cut very thick, that was kind of a dissapointment. The pickliz was decent, a little blend but no regrets ! The griot was nice ! BUT fish and the chicken were a big no no ! Why are they battered and fried ? The extra step was unnecessary. It felt lazily done... Were trying an other place next time
This was my first time trying it, the food was great and I ordered Uber eats so I imagine if we ate it in the restaurant it would’ve been even better. It looks like they use basmati rice it was a nice long grain with beans. The fried chicken was delicious. The legume stew type dish was okay, not my favorite but the beef in it was great. The Mac and cheese is different than traditional southern mac, but it wasn’t bad either, maybe a 6/10. All in all it was worth a try and I’d eat here again. The chicken and rice/beans with fried tostones was the best part.
have to order ahead, long wait even the staff is trying their best. Good food, ???? ???? ???? way to go Cecibon!!!
This place rarely picks up the phone to confirm orders it is very unprofessional however the food is decent. If you place an order online make sure it's what you want because they will not pick up the phone to confirm anything
I payed 20$ for oxtails that were only spicy and tasteless they gave me like 3 or 4 pieces the rest was bone and a full plate of rice I will never order from here again
Always love there chicken and pickly ... rice and bean off glass ... service was a to be expected ... on a Friday evening...
