My family and I stayed here May 31, 2024, for a softball tournament. We drove in from Texas. As we drove in about 6pm, we saw that it was a very old motel but that doesn't really matter if the rooms are clean. The front office staff was courteous. We reserved the two double bed non-smoking room. All even numbered rooms are non-smoking and are all on one side of the building. As I walked in, it smelled and looked clean. But, the bed was a little bouncy. I wouldn't recommend this place for families with children until they make repairs on the swimming pool. It had a tarp on it. Due to the city requirements and costs to resurface the pool l, they haven't been able to make those repairs. My husband and 11 year old had the free breakfast. When they returned to the room, they raved how delicious it was and how sweet the staff was. Oh, lastly. There was a trick to making the water come out of the bath faucet. You have to twist it back and forth left to right and pull out for the water to come out. Overall, I would recommend it for adults without children who don't mind the basics. I wish the best for this small business owner and staff. They're all good people with kind hearts.
My experience here so far has been great. Room services and faculty are professional, and polite. They have a restaurant you can eat at as well. The office has always had us guests treated as a priority. Sam has been extremely helpful with our stay, he has answered all of our questions and always treats his guests with up most respect. With myself being a Marine Veteran he has allowed my transitional stay to be as easy as possible and has any of my needs met. The Castle Inn and Suites is also pet friendly and there has been zero noise complaints on either side. I would highly recommend a this place to friends and family. Great for when you are passing through, or for an extended period of time.
Everything was great! We had a nice relaxing time staying here. It was WAY better than the last time we stayed, which was about 10 years ago. So the new ownership is really good. The breakfast was also great! The coffee was good. We also had a little refrigerator/microwave. I’d highly recommend and the prices are very reasonable.
As I arrived I realized it was not infact a castle, But that did not deter me. I heard tell of breakfast. I was disappointed as in the reviews it said there would be people outside asking for cigarettes however there was none and I had to smoke outside by myself. The dirt outside was nice. The red is a nice touch. My eyeballs are stained with iron oxide and my teeth won't stop clenching but hey I leave my mouth open too much anyways. No attendant to ask for silverware but I did manage to carve a nifty set of bamboo utensils (sorry for the shavings). There where stumps of willow wood out back which I found quite useful. The pancakes being the size of a blanket fed my block adequately. Coffee was good. Bed had a classic "bounce" to it. Pretty dope madmax/10. Honestly had a great time.
The hotel is clean, especially, the restaurant. The food is well prepared and served promptly. The staff is friendly and always have a smile to share. I have a dog who is welcomed there and knows all the housekeepers! It is a great place to stay!
This was not a nice stay. After check in, we laid down to rest. Maintenance knocked one time. Then opened our door. If it were not for the chain he would have came on in. They wanted to do their annual pest spray! Not when we will be there for 5 days. Guess we should have as the next day there was a roach doing laps in the toilet. It is not clean by any means. The ceiling in the bathroom is falling in and covered with spots of black midew. The bathroom wall is very soft so don't use it to support yourself to dress or dry off. There was food in the fridge and someone else's clothes in the dresser. We did not even turn down the bed. We brought pillows and our own blankets to sleep under. $61 a night was what we kept repeating. Next time we will just drive the extra miles and stay at a Wyndahm.
Excellent staff, upon arrival was greeted immediately. Room was everything I needed to relax and heal. And the complimentary breakfast was amazing!!! Cooked fresh when ordered!!!
Positive: The location was decent and met our needs. The beds were somewhat comfortable. Negative: The room smelled horrible, toilet didn¿t flush properly, breakfast was good but it was confusing because they had it set up like a buffet and then after we opened a few of the trays and they were empty the lady tells us that they don¿t do buffets anymore.
