To be fair, I had the best crab cakes of my life. However this is just messed up and wrong. This may be the most disgusting thing I have seen in any restaurant. How hard is it to buy new high chairs or pay someone to clean them when the owners are making a fortune off this restaurant. Obviously the oversight here carries into the unclean bathroom and makes you wonder about the kitchen. Your management/owner needs to take cleanliness much more seriously.
This is a little secret gem of a place. Tiki bar on one side and restaurant with Al fresco dining on the other. Fresh catch of the day and great drinks. A must if your in the Siesta Key area.
We went with another couple service was great I have food allergies to pepper and The server made sure the cook was aware and my chicken came out cooked perfectly and with out Seasoning. I will go again.
We are locals and eat here regularly. You can't beat the view or service, And the food is great! Some fine dining selections and plenty of good ole fried seafood! They could do some things to update the restaurant and facility. But that won't keep us away. They also have a huge tiki-bar next to the restaurant, and the views are great. You can watch boats going under the famous swing bridge. Awesome!
Seafood restaurant with Dockside Dining. We were out on the boat and there were several slips available when we arrived. We docked and were seated right away. The slips quickly filled up and walk-ins were piling in as well. The service was quick and the food was fresh and tasty. By the time we had finished eating, there was a wait to be seated. Would definitely return!
The restaurant continues to astound. We come here from longboat key. Let me give you an example... Mar Vista - 6 entrees on the menu.... Sandbar - 5 entrees, beach house - 5 entrees.... So if them (yes I ate at all), subpar preparation, rushed atmosphere interested in cranking in and out only nothing interested in quality.
Now compare to Casey key gosh house.... Honestly can't count the entrees. The mussels the best I've ever had, a black cod that they worked magic with... Let us sit and enjoy as long as we're wanted and a staff that couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
If you don't come here you are missing a classic Florida gem.
Enjoyed a delicious early dinner at this old Florida style fish house on the water. Highly recommend.
Overall the place is average, I came here for lunch, the price is very reasonable for the food. It is a little on the cheaper side, which is nice. But I think I’d pay a few extra bucks for some better food. My fish tacos had a whole lot of fish, with very little seasoning. I would recommend you go somewhere else with better food, but it’s somewhere easy to go, I’ve never came here without a wait as well. Today it was only about 15 minutes, but it’s usually more like 30-45 minutes. Just do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else, but it isn’t terrible.
