Food was good. Home made tortillas. Salsa was very yummy. Rice was perfect! Portion size was generous. Didn't get to try the margaritas but they looked good. The service was not so great. They had 2 servers and it took very long for the server to come and circle our table. They looked flustered. I'll come back another day and try it out again. Maybe it was just a bad day. I would recommend to family and friends.
We came for a weekday dinner. I had a chicken enchilada dinner with the ceamy green sauce and my husband had a cheese echilada with red sauce. It's nice that they give you a choice of sides besides beans and rice. The food was very tasty and I really liked the creamy green sauce. My husband liked the red sauce, which had a little kick to it. Our Server, Yolanda, was very attentive and provided some recommendations based on our tastes. The prices are very reasonable. They recently expanded. With the fluorescent lighting, in the new area, that portion lacks the usual warmth of a Mexican restaurant. Hopefully they will be able to change that, in the future. They have a full bar for those wanting a cocktail, beer, etc.
Delicious food and friendly owner and staff. We were pleased with our meals which we shared. The Asada fries were so mouthwateringly good. The Wet carnita burrito with red and green sauce hit the spot! Even the Chips and salsa did not dissapoint. Definitely coming back.
Stopped by here and it was a pretty good experience! Staff is super sweet and the environment is relaxing.
We had carne asada tortas, a taco with al pastor, and a carne asada sope. The chips here are good, and the sauces are actually delicious. Highly recommend the tomatillo sauce. The food itself was okay. Really big portions and reasonable price. Drinks are on the more expensive side though. Our meals had flavor but the meat was a bit salty, which was really the only negative. The beans are so good I almost cried, the rice was alright.
If it wasn't for the salty meat, it would've been a five star. Waiter was super nice and constantly came over to offer refills or sauces to try. Excellent service, would still say it's a good place to try overall! Might come back again.
Best fuking bean cheese rice and the salsita with lemon then operate that mega burrito open add some hot ???? cheetos and dont forget to add lemon to the chips salsitazo and ask for some guacamole and add the lettuce o lord the burrichazo made it sloppy and scrumptious
From my very first visit to Casa Rubio's, I knew this place was special. The passion and dedication of the owner, who is always hands-on in cooking, serving, and even cleaning, shine through every aspect of this charming restaurant. It's been heartwarming to see the recent expansion of the restaurant – a true testament to the hard work and love put into every dish.
The ambiance, previously cozy and intimate, has retained its homely feel even with the new space, making every visit feel like coming home. The staff are consistently welcoming and attentive, contributing to a truly enjoyable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food - it's nothing short of amazing! Each dish is a burst of authentic Mexican flavors, meticulously prepared and presented. The quality and taste have remained exceptional throughout my visits. For those who enjoy a spicy kick, I highly recommend trying the habanero sauce – it's a game-changer!
Casa Rubio's is not just a restaurant; it's a story of hard work, family, and culinary excellence. I'm thrilled to see the business flourishing and can't wait for my next visit. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine, look no further than Casa Rubio's.
This is TYPE of place that's a hole in the wall with amazing food and service. We had the flaunts, tostada, enchilada, and taquitos. Super delicious and authentic. The kid's plates are big so we had enough to take leftovers home for the little guy.
Will definitely be returning!
First time at this restaurant the service is excellent and the food is incredible. I'm really happy to have found this place looking forward to visiting this restaurant often.
