After work we decided to try for the first time Casa Margarita we went on a Friday after 5pm without reservations and they just sat us down right away. The restaurant is clean and spacious even has a little slot machine section.
We got the margarita flight which all the flavors were good (prices of drinks are not displayed in their menu). The food came out really fast not even 15 minutes after we placed the order. Portions sizes are big!!! The only thing I thought it was weird is that it’s a Mexican restaurant and they have only bottled salsa if not the food would’ve been better.
18% Gratuity is included regardless of the size of your party I don’t think that should be a thing when our server only came up to us once the food was ready to served.
Food was good. Wish they had an option for red salsa instead of the brownish salsa. Chips looked like the were store bought. Chicken fajitas were good. Once we got the check, we were figuring out the tip when we noticed the tip was already added. I like to give a tip based on the whole meal, usually 20% but since they forced an 18% tip .. that is what they get. We will not be back due to this because it should be my choice in how much of a tip I want to get. They really need something noticeable on their menus that advise of the surprise forced tip.
Everything was delicious! We ordered the ceviche, which also had excellent presentation. The chips were served with a warm salsa-like accompaniment which was delightful. We each had the combo platter and taco dinner. The portions were plentiful. An 18% gratuity was included for us (2 people). I'm thinking that might be because people have not been providing the correct tip to their server. I would have preferred to give a cash tip.
We enjoyed our margaritas for sure! The mango was our collective fav. Food was tasty as well. The manager on shift was very tentative and took care of us when we were unsure. Refried beans were not very tasty on the carne asada plate but a little sprucing fixed it up. Willing to go again!
Lunch was fantastic and we shared our meals that were cooked to perfection,tasty...served hot by our favorite server Ruben who was attentive but not overbearing! We highly recommend this place but one drawback is their not having any Margarita discount days...
Went in on Saturday afternoon and wasn’t seated for 20 minutes. Once I was finally seated they gave me no menu or water and I was waiting for another 15 minutes until I got a menu. I ordered and got my food pretty quick but the meat was undercooked and the refried beans were dry. I finessed my food and waited 10 minutes for the check and they gave me the wrong one twice. The atmosphere was overall musty and dirty with an expired food smell. I will definitely not be coming back.
We had such a great time here, we'll definitely be back for the food, service, and margarita flights... But it's time to update the decor and facilities!
The food and staff was great, we got to sit in the sun room and ordered the steak nacho fries and they were the BEST! Highly recommended!
