Great place to grab food if you are in the area. Not a five star restaurant. Food could use some more seasoning, but it was good. Breakfast slecial $5.99 and $7.99 lunch special. Price and portions are just right.
Ate lunch here on the recommendation of an Uber customer. Had the pork ribs fricasse and it was awesome. Food is out of this world for a moderate priced Cuban hole in the wall.
Don’t let the name fool you, there’s A LOT more than just corn (or corn dishes) at this restaurant. The options seem limitless, and the servers pile on the food without reservations. One plate here can feed even the hungriest of the hungry without breaking the back (not even close). But the best part is that everything I’ve tried is delicious. Those ribs were out of this world! I grabbed to bone and the meat just fell off. Great flavors, fresh ingredients, lots of options, huge portions, and surprising prices. You’ve gotta give them a shot.
If you eat food for the flavor, and you visit places for the experience, Casa Maiz is the place to go. Delicious food, great portion sizes, and we were treated like family. Adrian and the staff are top-notch in my book. We will be back!

I went for breakfast, I ordered fried eggs and they brings burnt eggs, I ordered oven potatoes or papas de la casa and instead they served fries, the sausage was fried instead of cook it on the flat, the Cuban bread was not fresh and the cafe con leche they didn’t ask me how I wan it and it was too sweet. No to mention the delay.
Food was decent at most. Tasted like home cooking but worse. Definitely not worth the 25$ I spent at this place

The ambiance was somewhat dull, with not much decoration to go around. Pretty depressing overall.

The price is very reasonable for the portion of food served. I like that the food looks appetizing and not dry as if it has been sitting for awhile. The congri rice is so moist and delicious. The shredded beef (ropa vieja) was tender. A little on the salty side but pairs well with mixed vegetables. We also had the vaca frita which was well seasoned and tender. Great for lunch and a great change from burgers and fries.
