All I can say is WOW! This little hidden gem is one of the most delicious, hand made, authentic, from scratch Mexican Cuisines I have EVER had in my life. I really cant explain enough but I have had various Mexican food my entire life and this place is definitely on the Top of my list. Give it a try, I promise you won't be disappointed <3
We came here on a Saturday night for dinner, I ordered the two chicken enchiladas and my wife had the 2 green corn tamales.
Ok, first impressions were for sure mixed as we didn't know if we were to just find a table or wait to be seated. After about 8 minutes of being in the way we were seated. We had soup with our meal and it was pretty good, the tamales were really delicious as were my enchiladas. The beans were fairly good, a bit thin, and the rice was at best luke warm and was meh.
The staff was very busy and the two young men helping were a bit careless and looked a bit lost. The server was nice and helpful.
All in all it was not a bad experience, however you only get to make one first impression and ours was very confusing and a bit chaotic. Our first impression of the food was quite good and we might come back.... But there are other options to try.
First time going here, sadly it will be last.
I got the pork burrito, and it had big pieces of meat, and it was tasty. But the beans lack flavor.
My husband got the "red burrito", it was more like Chipotle, and very salty and very over season. There was nothing in the description of the burrito being Chipotle, and if my husband knew this, he wouldn't of ordered it
He couldn't even finished it his meal.
We did tell the waitress (when we paid for it) that we felt the burrito was over season and heavily salted, and she laughed at us until my husband told her we were serious how we felt about the burrito. She then said that she was going to tell her father about it and walked away. Plus we were sitting near the station where they were making the drinks and it was very loud and we had to pause our talking until they were done making the margaritas. while prefer to support the mom and pop places this is one place we will not go back to
Great vibe here and great food. Got the Chicken Verde and loved it.
Like the way the restaurant was decorated and the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely would come here again if in the area.
Great food and drinks . Service was excellent! Patio dining was amazing ????
I was craving cheese enchiladas, and this restaurant totally hit the spot! It's very casual and kind of hidden back off the street, but it's definitely worth trying out. The margaritas were good, my food was tasty, and the service was good.
We had gone several years ago with friends from out of town. We finally were able to get the servers attention which turned out to be the actual owner( the elderly gentleman I believe.) After he took our order and we were given our drinks, as we were conversing with our friends, and suddenly realized that it had been a while since anything, was brought out to us. We flagged down another server and come to find out the elderly gentleman had left to do errands and forgot to turn our order in.!
Fast forward 2 years. We went last night, which was June 1, and as we walked in the waitress never really gave us contact and just told us to have a seat. A young man quickly brought us chips and salsa, but it was at least 10 minutes before we could get the attention of a server to come take our drink order. When she finally showed up and we placed our drink order and our dinner menu since we figured we better get her attention while she was there. The dinner came out and it was hot and it was very tasty. Their food is actually very good however, after our meal, she never once came back to check on us and we were waiting for our bill and she never showed up. my husband looked and saw her in the kitchen cooking. We were able to flag down another server to to find out what was going on and told her we wanted our bill. On top of that. They had messed up my husband‘s order and promised him another chicken enchilada to take home . When we finally got our waitress to come out, she said she was waiting on a party of 38 in the front dinner Bell restaurant! She never came back to let us know what was going on and just kept us hanging. Horrible horrible service at this place. We gave it several tries and we will never go back again. They don’t deserve our business.
Heard about this hidden gem, literally a hidden gem in the back of a diner during the day Mexican cuisine in the evening.
All I can say is WOW!!!! Probably top three Mexican food restaurants I have ever been to. The Blanco enchilada combo is MINDBLOWING!
If I could give these wonderful people 10 stars I would.
Its a MUST try if you're looking to dine in for dinner in downtown Prescott!!
