"Miss Cathy" is AWFUL. The kids can't stand her. They beg to not ride the bus because of her. She will get to the stop early, SEE US COMING DOWN THE ROAD, then drive away. She will turn around at the end of the neighborhood and pass back by us to leave the neighborhood AND WILL NOT STOP. Carroll County Dept of Transportation needs to get it together and get a FRIENDLY staff who doesn't suck.
Signed,
Mom of bus 2311 and neighbors.
The buses in this county absolutely sucks, they are never on time and they never inform the parents about changes. I had also called once to ask when the bus would arrive in the morning as it was winter and the woman that picked up patronized and hung up on me.
I have never had this many problems. My family just moved to Carroll county and regret it. The bus is 1-2 hours late daily after school. Waited 30 extra minutes this morning and called to see where the bus was. I was told it’s currently in the shop and they don’t know when kids would be getting picked up. No notice whatsoever. Absolutely ridiculous.
Just a suggestion. I think you guys should have a system that notifies parents on the location of the bus their child is riding. That way we can know when its a couple of stops away. It's getting colder and no one has time to be standing at the bus stop for over 20 mins waiting on a bus. I do drive but my mom doesn't and that makes it hard on her when we're at work and she has to be in the cold for that long
This year is terrible!! Lack of communication and bus drivers basically not giving a dam!! Plus on top of that when you call someone there is no help at all so really and truly you don’t even know if you’re little one is safe on the bus or not hell here lately me and my family have had to take my son to school because his bus driver has failed to show up!! every time I call no one answers Carrollton bus drivers suck than what they did last year last year was the best
I’ve already told Bus drivers and his school that I do not drive because of my seizures and a lot of these bus drivers do not take that inconsiderate that a lot of parents out here have health problems and we cannot drive due to that so will be nice for y’all to help us out a little bit and I’m speaking for all parents not just myself this is for everybody not just me this is for all parents here in Carrollton that are having a hard time with the buses because I know I’m not the only one
The bus said it would be at my house at 6:15 and yet the past two days it's been over an hour late. Can't get anyone to answer the phone at transportation I had to call the school Friday afternoon and the school told me it was running late but then come to find out my child was put on the wrong bus and took almost 2 hours for him to get home. I just moved to Carrollton and now I wish I hadn't. This is completely unacceptable.
Went to open house was given a bus number, pick up time, & drop off time. 1st day of school no bus arrives at given time. No big deal it’s the first day of school 30 minutes later I call the bus barn only to be told they do not have a bus driver for my child’s bus #/route and will not have one until they can find and hire one!! My next question was why were we given a bus # in the first place if there is no one driving that bus only to be told that they did not communicate the information to the drivers at the open house representing Carroll County. This is unacceptable my daughter stood outside for 1 hr after her supposed pickup time. I had to leave work (mind you I work all the way in Newnan) to take her to school for her first day. Now it is the second day, the first full week of school, and she is still standing outside at 8:30AM when school is starting. So help me if this starts affecting her academic classes because she is late to school every day and missing valuable learning time. There has to be a better way to communicate to parents when a bus will be arriving to pick up students at their designated stops. If parents are willing to bring the students to school early then there needs to be a way to let them be dropped off before 7:45AM and still be able to maintain a job without being late every day.
I can't give a 0 or I would. I've had several conversations with this place about the way the buses are handled and they act like they care but they don't. The bus driver (not our normal) driver has put her hands and our youngest one and another child. I called on that. Now, she seems to be bullying our kids because what's fair for one isn't fair for all the kids. Again, another phone call. Our middle kid won't have anything to drink today at school because the driver poured out her drink and they can't use the water fountain at school due to Coronavirus. I truly hope she doesn't drink anything from 7am until 5pm. It's about to end up in court with this driver. These are our kids and they treat them this way. Not to mention it never shows up when it's supposed to when our normal driver isn't driving. Our kids LOVE their normal driver.
