I drove about 20 minutes to this place (it's actually named Eula-Mere) to have lunch with my son. Pulling up it looked closed but has a sign that says "Open, Open", so I park and check the door & its open. I walk back to my car to get my son & a woman comes out and says to me "where you coming in here" I say Yes.. she says "I just got a last minute catering order I thought I locked the door but didnt" I say so your closed she says yes... Humm! This is at 1230 in the afternoon!! Very very disappointed. Definitely not making the trip there again just to get turned away again..
It was my first time ordering food from here I called it in and my friend picked it up for me I seen all the good reviews and was set on I had to try it! Than I seen the bad reviews ????right but knowing me I’m hard headed lol and once I want something I have to have it so I tried it! And, I must say my food was really good 5 stars for sure. So I ordered the Green’s mac & cheese black eye peas and rice and fried okra! I Favorites is the fried okra and Green’s everything is good
Janetta is a sweet lady and such a hard worker. Food is delicious, I love the bbq brisket and yams are to die for. Highly recommended
My 1st time ever eating soulfood and I would recommend to be broadcast on KLOS and also to Donald Trump....her food was 10 star and no need to salt and pepper cut everything was seasoned. Meatloaf was excellent and ribs fell off bones and to top it off you get a Lil bit of heaven in Janetta's words. A little pricey but everything is these days. You just gotta try this place to believe how good it is !!! Thank You Janetta for making my first soul food experience so memorable....see you soon.

The food was great! I had the pull chicken sandwich, but did not eat the bread. The Mac & Cheese was cheesy and the collard greens was on point! The barbeque sauce has tasted so sweet, as homemade barbeque would had tasted. I did not care for the cornbread, in which my colleague had order. I had a little sample of her cornbread.
The cornbread was not tasty like cake, in which how my mother use to cook it in the cast iron skillet. The service was a little slow, but as I had notice, it a busy little place. Very, very popular with all types of people. It was interesting to always see people in different cultures that like soul food.
My colleague had meet a older lady who real name is not Carrie's, as name of the restaurant. But had decided to take on the name since the male relative was to sick to carry on with the resturant. The name is after the grandmother, if I am not mistake?
My Cousin treated me to the vegan Spaghetti, vegan meatloaf, vegan macaroni and cheese, sauteed spinach, and sauteed kale delivered by Grub Hub. The food smelled and looked so good, I couldn't wait to dig in! The flavors were absolutely amazing. I recommend Carrie's to vegans and to those who would like to try fabulous tasting meat free and dairy free foods.
I went here the day before Thanksgiving for a last minute order of brisket. Janetta informed me that wasn’t on her menu anymore but she could get me tri-tip. She ended up getting me tri-tip, chicken, and hotlinks for an incredible price. My family loved the food and she made a lifelong customer of me due to her amazing customer service. Thank you!!
I don’t normally do reviews but this place surprised the hell out of me. Super tasty ribs and chicken. The sides were really good, but the banana pudding was amazing. Owner was super busy and took a little bit to take our order (keep in mind she was working alone) but she was super sweet and the food was totally worth the wait. I highly recommend this place. Cash is smoother but they do accept card.
