Perfect. Classic diner. Family run business. Loved the food! Good value. My husband said, “best sausage gravy I’ve ever had!” My daughter had a pancake and sausage. Her quote was “thick, fluffy and absolutely massive!” I had a vegetarian omelette and it was tasty and well cooked. Raisin toast and English muffin were well buttered and delicious. The servers and cook were friendly and checked on how we were doing. Clean restrooms. Well worth the stop!
Was here for state pool tournament. Food was delicious. Servers very nice. They were open till 2pm breakfast and lunch. But stayed open for the tournament till 10 pm, that was nice amd even later the food was just as good. If you haven't tried it and your hungry stop on in. You get your money's worth here.
Had very good first experience with Carpenters Restaurant in Waterloo Iowa. I got a BLT and John got French toast with hash browns and sausage links. Service was great and enjoyed seeing Matt as well! They have a variety of food options not just breakfast! :)
Love this place. My favorite is their pancakes. Went for breakfast and they overheard it was my boyfriend's birthday. They brought him out a piece of cheesecake and sang Happy Birthday. It's like you're at home when you're here.
Excellent food and staff! Our server was very cheerful and the chef even came out to chat and ask us how everything was. Would recommend for a cute little bfast/lunch spot.
Me and my dates first time coming. We came at 10am and there was only 1 table open after we sat down. The server was nice and friendly and kept our drinks full. I got Steak and French Toast and was satisfied with both, my date got the Steak and Pancake and was also very satisfied with their food. Steaks were nice and tender cooked to our individual preferences. Whole lotta food for not a whole lotta money is always a great time. 10/10 would recommend! I will be back!

Quality of food was ok to good. Minor refinements needed to improve the experience. Butter was brought out frozen. Cheese squares on the hash browns look bad, shredded cheese helps flavor and appearance. There's no salt at the bar. However, the French toast was home made style good. The steak was above expectations, decently tender but slightly dry and cooked past medium closer to well done. Overall, price was good and I was satisfied after the meal.
