Best WLM Reviews
This place has great Tacos. Some of the best Carnitas in town. The service was on point. Even though there was only one server on a Sunday, she was awesome. The fresh corn tortillas were on point. My whole family was pleased with the food. Two thumbs up and 5 stars for this place. ????????????????⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My Suegra said this was the best carnitas in town, so that was good enough for me to check them out. Don't just drive by thinking it is a BBQ joint. I stopped by to see if they sold carnitas by the pound. Friendly service, when she recognized that I was new (and near closing) she reccomended I get the family pack, which was 2 lbs of meat, rice and beans for less than just the meat. So I got that and did not regret it one bit. To go orders only for the last half hour, and I am definitely coming back!
The wait staff demonstrated utmost professionalism and attentiveness throughout the dining experience. The chips and salsa were exceptionally fresh and delectable. I am undoubtedly a future repeat customer. Given the consistent quality of the food, I highly recommend that you visit and try it for yourself. The carnitas tacos, in particular, offer an authentic taste experience.
This was another taco shop that was recommended to me by a coworker. If I were to guess the type of food that was served based upon the outside of the restaurant, then I would’ve guessed that it was a BBQ restaurant. The BBQ vibe changed as soon as I walked through the doors. The inside is much more colorful and decorated as you might expect a modern taco shop would be. I went to Carnitas El Taste on a Saturday for an early takeout lunch. They were just finishing up making the fresh tortillas for the day while I was ordering. I talked to the person making the tortillas and he said that they will make 900 tortillas per day in the slow season. I let the cashier/hostess know that it was my first time and I asked for taco recommendations. After getting a rundown of the menu, I ended up order 2 regular tacos, Al Pastor & Carnitas, and a “Secret Menu” Chile Rellenos taco. The takeout order was very well packaged and included all the toppings and sauce that was needed. The tacos were all good but the Chile Rellenos taco was my favorite. I will definitely try Carnitas El Taste again but next time will dine-in to get the full experience.
We love this place! Our family usually orders to go, but I took the kids for lunch and we ate inside. It was such a nice experience, we will definitely make this a more often outing.
The waitress was super nice and very attentive. The salsa that came out with the chips was amazing, and I’m picky on my salsa! I love spicy and this one had great flavor and some bite as well.
The torta meal was a great deal and my kids and I loved every bite. My picky eater ate her whole tostada as well!
Everything was great!
They have a family meal deal that you can order and it comes with everything to make carnitas tacos at home, (This is what we usually get) and it’s a great deal for when you just don’t feel like cooking but don’t want junk fast food.
Also highly recommend is the huarache. SO GOOD. It’s like a giant corn tortilla with meat, beans, sour cream and guacamole. I’d definitely recommend that for a big eater or someone who wants two meals.
Oh, and the aguas are great too!
We’ve had all of them, the horchata, jamaica, and the limonada. My personal favorite is the limonada because it’s so sweet and tart.
We will be back, it’s a great place off 32nd street and near 6E, so it’s convenient for us.
Great all around food and people!
The atmosphere was fun and colorful, staff was very friendly and the food was AMAZING! We have had lots of Mexican food in plenty of different places in plenty of different states and we can say hands down on our first visit that the taste of everything was definitely one of the best! Would definitely recommend and we will be going there again!
Only complaint is it is a little on the expensive side for us and the food took a little while to come out but it was very worth it.
This local spot serves tasty Mexican food. I ordered the macho burrito with chicken. The meat was great with both light and dark meats which I loved the meat gets 5 ⭐. Though a bit heavy on the lettuce and lacked sauce. The red sauce that comes with the chips is great but the chips which are made in house were not consistent some were hard or chewy.
Service was okay we sat ourselves but had to wait to get a menu.
Atmos was fine, really just a no frills environment. And my shoes felt sticky to the floor.
Really when it comes to Mexican dining the sauce is very important, and chips need to be okay. Generally meats are always great and the sauce makes the difference.
-1 ⭐ for chips.
-1 ⭐ waiting on the menu.
-1 ⭐ cleanliness.
+5 ⭐ Chicken.
Ate here with 3 other friends, We got the 2 lbs of carnitas, it came with 2 large sides of beans and rice each and flour and corn tortillas. Everything was fantastic, the pork was so tender and juicy. They had a margarita special for $1, which we had 2 each. The chips, salsa and cabbage with jalapeños were also excellent. Total bill was $52. What a fantastic deal. I highly recommend this place.
