If you are looking for good Mexican food, this is the place to visit! I would say, this is the closest it gets to authentic Mexican food in Newnan, Georgia. The small restaurant is located inside the Mexican shop near the meat section. Their popusas and tacos were delicious. I particularly liked that you get to add your toppings and salsa as you please from the salsa bar. The shop sells authentic Mexican candy, chips, and bread. They have a free parking lot in front of the shop which makes everything very convenient. Definitely a hidden gem (literally) and highly recommend!
Family night Friday 6:30pm. Ordered a shrimp taco meal, 4 asada tacos, French fries, side of rice and 4 soft drinks. Rice was like ricaroni but less flavor. Asada tacos meat had been cooked hours previously and was too tough to chew, fries were under cooked by at least 2 minutes. The bottle sodas were good. $60.00 bill, never again. Also had to wait for our order to be taken with no one else in the dinning room and had to stand near the register to get someone's attention to pay. Now we know why no one else was in the dinning room at 6:30 on a Friday night.
This place is a hidden gem located inside Super Latino. They have the best Pupusas, as good as you can get in El Salvador or Honduras. Jorge and his team are very friendly. We will be back!
If you want authentic Mexican, this is your place. You can grab food and fresh cut meat at thw same place.

Market, meat counter and in the back is a restaurant that most folks have NO idea exists. Delicious foods.
We have been getting the tacos (carne asada) here for years now. We've tried a few other places around town, but these are just our favorite! The tacos are a good size and full of meat. The meat is chopped into good size bites and isn't super thin like I've encountered at other places. Their salsa verde with plenty of lime, onion, and cilantro makes these perfection!
My only complaint is that I tried the horchata for the first time and it was a disappointment. It was not a great flavor and a bit gritty. That's ok. I will still drive from Sharpsburg for their tacos.
I'm torn about writing this review...it's so dang good, I don't want to share! Seriously this place is good! The mercantile has loads of fresh groceries. Some really hard to find items for those "chef inspired" home dining menus! Then there's the Taqueria! So fresh..so perfectly seasoned...and a fresh salsa bar to dress your tacos, tortas, burritos or many other available entres! Prices are super reasonable and portions are above standard size! (and not by a little) Friendly staff and customer base! Enjoyed having lunch, dine in!
