We've passed by so many times, and today we were able to stop in. The staff were ABSOLUTELY excellent!!! So VERY kind and helpful. While we were not a fan of the food (and that's not because it was bad), it's just not what we expect when we think Mexican food. The place was PACKED before we left, so there are a LOT of people who love this place!!! You should try this place out! The staff is absolutely amazing. Again, they were SUPER nice and SO helpful!!!
This was our first visit and I ordered the combo fajitas. The steak was charred and tough, the chicken was bland and chewy, and the shrimp ended up in my napkin. The steak enchilada was extremely overdone. We did enjoy the chips and salsa. We have never so much food on our plates. The service was the best experience at Carmelita's
A fun place with cute decor and great food! The Mexican Pizza is so delicious, and bigger than I thought! The vegetarian combo was filled with all kinds of fun things and the steak that came with the steak fajitas was nice large meat without much fat. It also was not greasy (asked for light oil). The tamales were very good! I normally don't like tamales but these were an exception - they don't come with a dipping sauce though. The service was pretty good, friendly and fairly quick. The cheesecake burrito was sooo good! It was a nice experience and I can't wait to go back!
I've been eating here for years and it's always a fantastic experience. The portions are large and it's very affordable. The food is always excellent and the staff is always attentive and friendly. I was here today and Alice was just fantastic. Best margaritas, best burritos, best servers.
There’s so much chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. I ordered a chicken and shrimp fajita. The rice was very dry and didn’t taste fresh. The onions were not cook and the peppers tasted bitter and spoiled. I didn’t enjoy my first visit meal there. My companion, enjoyed his meal and Carmelita’s is one of his favorite places to eat. However, the staff was awesome. If I’m ever in the area again I would give them another try and try something else.
Great food the staff was very pleasant and the flan was great! Prices are decent.
Their salsa is awesome, the best I've ever had. You can even get some to go!
It's been a while since I've eaten here. It is almost as good as I remember it, which says a lot for 8+ years. I asked questions about the dishes as my memory isn't as good as it used to be, and the staff wasn't knowledgeable. They were friendly and polite, just not knowledgeable about the dishes served. Solid restaurant to visit every few years.
We really enjoyed eating here. The atmosphere was very family, cozy, and friendly, they gave generous portions for each of our meals, the chips were quite good too. Service was kind, patient and friendly. All four us enjoyed our meals. They have a decent variety of meals and appetizers, as well as drinks. It's was quite nice eating here, definitely somewhere I would like to go back to with a large group of friends for lunch or dinner.
