I've passed this place in Decatur for years, but for some reason never made it in. Well, I finally stopped by to pick up a late lunch. They have a small parking lot, which should be big enough for its patrons; you shouldn't have any problem finding an open spot. We entered the very small shop and were greeted warmly. We took a few minutes to figure out what we wanted. Wifey ordered a large Stew chicken with Mac and Cheese, rice and peas, and plantains. I ordered the Chicken Roti. We could see the staff putting the dishes together on the other side of the plexiglass, and we were ready to dig in. I didn't notice any steam coming off the food; that should have been a clue. Well, we packed up everything and headed home. We started to dig in, and we were both a little disappointed. Not only was the food not hot, it was a little bland. Wifey and I both agreed about the seasoning; both dishes needed some salt or some authentic Jamaican spices.
This place is amazing 10/10 oh my God, the flavor, the beef patties, the chicken patty fire ???? everything on the menu is amazing i’m a fat boy. Trust me. I know food and this some real good food.
First time here. The reviews were mixed. I got a Large Curry Chicken(Three sides: Mac n Cheese, Plantains, and Rice & Beans). The food was amazing and the price isn't too bad. The service was good enough for a small business. I waited a while before being served. The atmosphere is NOT the best. It's a hole-in-the-wall for sure. I'd question their sanitation, but there were no reviews about food poisoning so overall 5 stars. We're here for the food not everything else.
As I was driving by this place I smelled the food and decided to come back after shopping nearby.
The smell and taste did not match. The sides sitting out looked dry but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried them anyway.
Yes I knew this was a whole in the wall but I've gotten some of the best food at whole in the walls but not that day.
I'd give my visit a 2.5 out of 10.
Don't let the low-frills appearance fool you - the food here is great. It reminds me of the stands you would see selling jerk chicken in Jamaica, and it tastes just as authentic. If it's busy you might have to wait a little bit (nothing unreasonable), but that has typically been my experience when getting good jerk chicken. Go with the right attitude, and enjoy the food!

Whiting! Not fresh at all. Fried hard. Plantains were hard and dry! Why?

I had a taste for jerk chicken and a friend of mine recommended this little hole in the wall. It’s been around for long time and needs some work. The chicken was just ok, spicy but I don’t know how long ago it was cooked. The food is out like a buffet and uncovered so there’s no telling how long ago it’s been cooked. The Mac and cheese was flavorless and rice over cooked. I went on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t busy at all.
Every time I am in Atalanta I make sure to stop here. This is a hole in the wall you must stop for home cooked Caribbean food! I love walking in and seeing all the celebrities who have visited this place over the years. There is one table to sit at and eat if you want to dine in, otherwise just plan on carrying out. I’m
