I have been hosed. I was looking for a good used engine for my daughters SUV. Upon finding out about Car Part Pal I thought I had found the right engine and liked the one year warranty. Mike was very helpful and I received engine in a timely fashion. After having engine installed we drove only about 60 miles and check engine light came on a went into power reduction mode. I called and talked to Mike and very helpful and said no problem it will be taken care of. Did not hear anything for a few days and they had not called the dealer like they said they would do. Upon talking to Mike once again he said instead of replacing the timing components they were just going to send another engine. Still no word so I have called and left messages and emails and no response. Now number is temporarily not working. Maybe their reputation has caught up with them and no longer in business which I feel is good. I have contacted my attorney to handle this from here...if they are even still in business.
I ordered an engine from them back in April. Their customer service was great and got it shipped out to me very quickly. They said it was a good engine with only 83k miles. When I receive the engine I noticed that had been rebuilt and after installing the engine I had to rebuild the majority of the top of the engine as well as replace the intake manifold. After doing this once I got it running the engine knocks in it. After back-and-forth trying to get a hold of them and the owner supposedly supposed to call me for multiple days they said they would ship me a new engine. They said it was supposed to be here on Monday but then I wasn’t able to pick it up until Wednesday. They sent me the info to pick up the engine and when I arrive they had no record of anything sent to me or from car part pal. I’ve tried to call multiple times and I get no answer and no return calls from my voicemails. I’ve very unhappy with the product and the service. I want my a full refund but can get ahold of anyone.
I ordered a engine for my Ford PU Mike Said it was shipped on ESTES Truck Line but conveniently his computer was down and didn't provide any tracking info. Being a retired truck driver myself, and pulled many ESTES trailers, I knew how to track without tracking numbers. Was never shipped!!!!!! This company does not have good ratings with Better Business Bureau. 13 similar complaints in last year.
I purchased 2 used engines supposedly under warranty from these people. Shame on me for not doing my research on this Business before purchasing. The customer service does not exist they don’t respond to any communications and if you get to communicate with them they just pile up excuses. Both engines I purchased were junk and am out way more in mechanic fees I could purchased a crate motor. I can go on and on about this business. I still not have got this resolved and had to contact BBB and file a complaint. Once I did that I got a text from them, how ironic!! WARNING don’t wast your time or money with this company. It will cost you so much more in the long run. As far as rating stars if it was possible I would rate this company as -10 Stars! If you plan on doing business with this company I advise you to review the BBB complaints filed before spending your money!!
Purchased a COMPLETE engine. They sent an engine with no turbo. After several weeks waiting for the turbo, it arrived and looked like it was stuck in the mud for two years. The engine arrived on its side with oil pouring out of it.
Now for the install. Put the engine in the car and first start the engine has a knock. It wasn't even off the rack yet.
John agrees to send a new engine and take care of the re-install cost. They tell me the engine shipped and after several more weeks , no engine.
Today I get an e-mail, they are refunding my money, and it's the wrong amount.
I was extremely pleasant and understanding and this is what I get. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am. They will be hearing from my lawyer.
If you want to throw away $4500 and several months, Car Part Pal is your engine provider.
I ordered an engine for my 6.2L Escalade. At first, I was happy and enthusiastic about getting it at such a lower rate than every other company had advertised. I purchased the engine on the 13th of March and was told it should ship by the 16-17 of March and arrive by that Friday or Monday at the latest. After multiple calls and getting the run around I finally got the shipping information only to receive the wrong information as it had multiple shipping companies and none of which had any information on picking up or delivering to my destination. Then after more calls I was told that all that information was wrong and new information was going to be provided to me, which it still has not been. The last time I called I was told that they had to call one of the sales reps and was going to put me on hold, (I was on hold for an hour), but they never came back on the line and when I tried calling back it went straight to voicemail. Today is almost 2 weeks from the delivery date that I was told and still do not have ANY of the proper shipping information needed for a purchase over $2000. I have requested a full refund today, and I wonder how long it will take because I’ve given them 3-5 business days from today or I will take the next more legal actions.

Miss the mark? Your company missed the mark as if your not in the delivery business. Although it was the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic I still ordered another engine from VA and received it 3 days later. Being that your company is in TX and I’m in Louisiana it shouldn’t have taken a month PERIOD. The only reason I received my refund was because after my phone calls and emails were ignored, I contacted the BBB. What’s done is done and I’m just glad I don’t have to deal with your company anymore. ✌️
This company is a scam. BUYER BEWARE!!! They also operate under the name Car Part Company, Inc.. Websites are identical. Different phone numbers but exact same music/message center. Lots of disputes and poor reviews through BBB regarding Car Part Pal. Neither is registered with BBB.We unfortunately were the victims of Car Part Company, Inc. Upon research, many reviews and complaints with exact same story as ours. We paid $1100.00 for an engine that was never delivered and the company won't answer phone or return messages. Shipping tracking info they gave us is bogus. Do some research on their multiple addresses. It is all fake. Their reviews on google are fake. I left a 1 star rating and they somehow managed to hide or delete it. Just look at the reviews...all 5 stars and all posted within the the last week. It is completely fake. DO NOT DO YOUR BUSINESS HERE!!!!!!
I have been getting quotes for a used 2008 Scion engine for a week. Doing a complete research before dropping over $1000. I have to say that Mike at Car Part Pal was the most helpful out of the all the places I have called. Would definitely recommend you use him because he knows his stuff and didn't treat me like a dumb girl. Thanks Mike for the best customer service and advice! Wish I could give you 10 stars ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
