Today after 22 years of service Joe and the Car ER that we all have come to know and ???? closed its doors for the last time! It has been an honor to have you Joe and thank you for all the years that you kept everyone on the road and did it with a smile! My wife and I hate to see you go but it is very much deserved. I've been going to Car ER for nigh on 8 years and three oldish high mileage cars. They do good work, highly recommended.
The owner has, so far, forgiven me for aspiring to an electric vehicle with fewer moving parts (and fewer things to go wrong).
The number 1 thing is Joe is a good mechanic. And he will always work with you.fast and reliable and very convenient. And a all around stand up guy. Plus his business is very professional. I would not bring my car any where else !...

We bought a 1997 Cadillac last summer. I knew it was going to need work. After sitting for the past 7 months the battery was completely dead.
So I had to get the vehicle towed to Car ER. I chose Car ER because people on the New Haven sub-Reddit mentioned how honest and fair they were. They couldn’t have been more right.
I spoke with the owner Joe on the phone and explained to him that I wanted the car completely looked over and if it would be worth it to get it road ready.
Joe called me the next day and gave me some numbers and explained what would need to be done just simply wasn’t worth it. He was completely honest and accommodating. He offered to give me a couple days to get the car towed to it’s final destination free of charge. He also refused to charge me for the evaluation, and just asked that I bring future business his way in exchange for the free diagnostic.
This is an honest family run business. The kind of shop you would hope to find. I highly recommended the guys over at Car ER.
Joe and his shop are the best! Truly care about their customers, honest, sincere. Been bringing my car here for years. Recommend to everyone I know and they’re never disappointed. Thanks Joe for your hard work and commitment to our community.
I don't want to many people to know but you will not find a fairer priced mechanic than Joe for your car and or truck. Sceptical about leaving to good of a review because I don't want him to get to busy. Yeah, he's that fair.
