One of the Best Captain Ds Ive ever dealt with! (And Ive been thru a lot). The food is always fresh, the order is always accurate, and the Sweet Tea is always just right. I want to give them a super shout out for being open today in this surprise ice storm (or WHATEVER kind of weather this is today ????), 3 young ladies making it happen in there, like its a sunny summer afternoon day.
PRO-TIP: Food is hot so open the lids when you get it. And let it catch a little air, so it retains crispiness! Otherwise it will get soggy. Turn a seat heater on to keep some heat in on the drive home.
I had the 10pc Fish family meal, 4pc chicken meal, green beans, fries, hush puppies and jalapeno poppers & fried okra. Fish was crispy, chicken was as well, green beans have just enough taste to not need anything else on them, fries, hushpuppies and okra was fresh and lightly crispy as well! Jalapeño poppers were pretty good as well.
The drive thru speaker is kind of suspect, so speak clearly and be patient, but thats on ownership!
Other than that nothing bad to say, I love it there!
I like the fact that this is the ONLY Captain D's location which allow you to leave your tray on the table and someone comes to clear it. Staff was nice and food was good. I am not used to a fast food style seafood place so we were impressed.
I just don't like this place. I didn't like any of the food. I got it the right temp. But I don't like the taste of the cole slaw, hush puppies, fish, nothing. Just wasnt worth the money. I prefer Long John Silvers instead.
My experience was top tier my food was hot and flavorful and the draft was friendly. I was served by a young woman with fluffy curly hair and she was kind.
I ordered fries and coleslaw and my wife ordered broccoli and coleslaw. I had both orders of coleslaw on my plate and my wife had my fries and the broccoli. She put the broccoli on her fish so that she could get some coleslaw on her plate and I ate my fries off her plate because I didn't want to put them in my plate and have the juice of the slaw to soak the fries. The server said well you got your sides and walked off. Sad, sad, sad!!
Food was very good. We had a minor mishap with the order, but it was rectified immediately. We had fish & chicken meals. The fish is outstanding!
Food was super fresh! Served with tons of smiles and happy employees! Lots of food for the price. I was able to take some fried okra home for my wife, who loved it too. Regarding the atmosphere... Well, it's Captain D's. You can't expect a live band or people to mingle with. It was quiet and relaxing, and there were no shootouts like they have at Waffle House, so that was cool. 13/15 highly recommend.
I’ve left a review only a single time in my life, but this place deserves one too. So So clean inside, feels like a restaurant rather than fast food (food still came out fast!). Super friendly staff, food tastes amazing and served right off grill/fryer! 100% will be back her many more times.
