Don’t come here on a weekend. I just waited at your drive through box for 20 min! Man said he will be with me momentarily. After the two people behind me left I left too. Staff your stores properly. All of the money you just lost can be avoided with a properly staffed store!
I’ve had delivery twice now and both times the food was fantastic. So fresh and did not sweat in the containers. I plan to order again many times in the future. I also hope to dine in soon as well. 5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My sister and I usually eat at the East Colonial location when I'm in town and their fish strips are always a nice size and fresh. We always order the two piece fish with hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw.
My experience at the West Colonial location was the exact opposite.
My fish strips (2) were very small and dark compared to my sister's plate. Hers looked like the menu picture, good sized and lightly golden.
We ordered the exact same thing so I don't know why mine looked much darker and tasted like pure grease.
Needless to say, my stomach was rumbling a few hours later. I'll spare you the details.
Update: I now realize the reason my fish was dark and greasy was that it was probably ordered by someone else and never picked up. Rather than toss it out, the cook just reheated it in oil. That would explain why they were darker than my sisters fish and tasted like pure grease. My fries were also cold and the portion was much smaller than my sisters. I am surprised they weren't reheated in oil.
I didn't mention this in my earlier post but the ladies bathroom did not have soap (two female employees working that night).
There was also feces smeared on the floor by the hand dryer.
If I had seen that beforehand, I would not have ordered.
Disgusting! I wish I had taken pics of my food and the bathroom.
Did not bring my food to me like the one in winter garden nor give me a number to put on the table or to know what my number was. Instead yelled out my number after not giving me my receipt so I would not have known it was me. Otherwise food was just like the other locations.
Came here on April 14th 2024 at 10:30am. Sat at the ordering microphone for 10 minutes. Not a soul on the other side. How is there no staff first thing in the morning??? Management need to do BETTER! Absolutely ridiculous.
I've been here 3x's in the past 3 weeks... let me tell you... they are ON TOP OF THEIR GAME... everytime, wait staff is incredibly polite and efficient... everytime, they ask if I want to add-on shrimp, everytime, the togo order is accurate and HOT... I'm looking for trouble baby, can't find any yet! LOL ???? -- Khianti took my order this week... more updates to follow; cause I'm LIKE THAT ;-)
This is the worst place to go. I was on that drive thru for 45 minutes. That's waaay too long for a drive thru never going back to that store again and I still didn't get my food. If I want to wait that long I got to a real restaurant.
I love Capt D's and we always order the family feast or the 10 piece family meal. Unfortunately the last two times ordering from this location food has been not so good... This time the fish was hard and at least 4 pieces looked as if they fell down in the grease and had brown burnt food from grease all over them.. Like they missed the basket and had to be fished out after hitting all that sediment in the grease that settles in bottom of oil. Which make me ask how old the oil was. I have went to this Capt D's for years and this is the worse I have ever had. It's sucks that the next one is so far away. On top of that i ordered through Capt D's website and was charged $6.75 delivery fee which door dash delivers and could of ordered through door dash and paid no delivery fee.SMH. So after paying $60 for food that wasn't fully edible I don't think I will be eating fish anymore unless I'm in Winter Garden. Too much to pay for food like that..:(
