This national park is more of a driving through NP. That was fine with us because it was 98 degrees outside. We got out briefly at certain spots. Worth the drive and very scenic. 20.00 fee.

Pretty great pullout. Bathrooms available at the sign. People are polite and allow you time to get your pictures. Not too busy . Plenty of people coming and going. Platform available to set your camera up if there isn't anyone to take a picture for you.

We experienced a fantastic summer thunderstorm at this location when approaching the park from the East. Driving West from Hanksville we entered the park at the same time a thunderstorm was pounding the region and generating small flash flooding next to and across the roadways. A wonderful experience that reminded us of the power of nature.

I thought I'd share the map that is on a board and then the style of restrooms with a cool looking tree in the background. Just stopped to stretch and use the restroom!

It's a lovely place to park

An entrance to the park with no manned visitor center, a rustic restroom, a map, and a photo-op of the park gate.

No nonsense but was great for us on the way out to use the restroom one last time before our long drive.

This is the first point for information about Capitol Reef NP when entering from the east. There is is a vault style restroom here but no water. Several information boards provide and overview of the park and things to do there. The road through this part of the park is free so you can still enjoy part of the park without paying.

Name fits the spot, we were trying to figure out (without cell reception) which way to Moab! (HWY 24 towards Hanksville btw to I-70 E then 191 S to Moab) Nice little spot with maps and some parking. Pretty cool! There is a vault toilet here!
