My new favorite restaurant. Lot's of food for $10 only! And it is delicious. The old man was helpful too. Highly recommended
I have been a regular at this restaurant for the last year and I went in there today and the woman acted like she had never seen me before in her life. She was so unbelievably rude. This restaurant used to accommodate your requests with ordering food, and I told her she could charge me a little extra or just give me 2 different soups. But customer service is completely gone s at this restaurant now. I couldn't even get her to charge me, so she refused to serve me. It is a shame because the food here is good, but the treatment is so awful now. There are several reviews about this woman here on Google, and they are all true. She really treats customers badly, and it feels like she does not want you there. She even yelled at me, and I could just feel the dislike she had for the customer. It oozes off of her, and you can just feel it in the room in the way she looks at you. I should have returned the food because the treatment was just so bad. I will not be going here again. Customer service should never get this bad, especially in a restaurant. That is just not acceptable. I am really disappointed.
If you're hankering for Americanized Chinese food, this is easily the best 10 bucks you can spend in the area, for a full take-home shell that would easily be twice as much anywhere else.
The only option is walking in and filling up a takeout box, and there's a solid selection of about 15 dishes that range from fried chicken to Chinese beef and broccoli to several Chinese chicken offerings.
So if all you need is a big injection of well done, classic Chinese dishes at a fantastic price, this is definitely your place!!
Significant restaurant cost-saving is the brand of food I eat from the bar or kitchen, and both have equal quality food taste.
I have been going to this Chinese buffet for 15 years and I have to say, it is my absolute favorite! The selection may be small, but every single choice is amazing. The food is always so delicious and I can't get enough of it.
I will admit, the customer service is not their forte. The staff can be a bit short and not particularly friendly, but it's not necessarily rude. It's just their style and it's kind of charming to me. It reminds me of how the more awful the customer service is at a Jamaican restaurant, the better the food is. ????
Despite the lack of top-notch customer service, I still love this place. The food is always worth it and I will continue to go back for more. ???? Plus, it's always nice to have a place where you feel like a regular. ???? Overall, I would highly recommend this Chinese buffet. Just be prepared for some short but sweet interactions with the staff. ????
I’m writing this review and my blood is still boiling. Today my daughter and I went to MD to enjoy a day of shopping. We had a taste for Chinese food. Not familiar with the area we google locations and seen the awesome reviews for this restaurant. Imagine my disappointment to drive 20 minutes out the way to this restaurant and have the experience we had. When we walked in no one was at the front. We waited for 5 minutes when the phone started ringing. After several rings a lady appeared. She never acknowledged us or said anything. She answered the phone never once making eye contact with us. After she ended the call she still didn’t say anything to us. It was like we were invisible. Now I know this woman knew we were here. They have a bell that rings when you walk in the door. And they have several cameras. Not sure what her issue was but it really made feel like she didn’t want us there. And it was really hard to explain this situation to my daughter. We were hungry and we had to drive all the way back home angry and hungry. Yes we could’ve ate somewhere else but that lady made us feel we didn’t even want to be in this location. It’s very disheartening to know in 2023 it’s still people that exist like this. Knowing that it’s the very community who makes it possible for you to make a living everyday. It’s a lot of hateful people in this world. To the lady who gave us a terrible experience today may you and your family be blessed. May God show his love and favor in your life!!!!
This place brings Gaithersburg together. Everyone sits down and enjoys a meal that is a bang for their buck. Expect to just sit down if a table is available. Don't expect a butler to come grant your wishes. Overall the food is worth it!
Canton Delight has been a local gem for over a decade, this is just a truly solid spot. Reviews talking down are clowning. It's transitioned into a straight-up buffet-style takeout operation (no sitdown). Always impressive prices (currently $10 closed- or $12 open-box). Don't arrive expecting tons of conversation, just cleanliness and a consistent quality of Americanized Chinese food that's kinda like a more savory Panda Express. Selection isn't huge but hits most of the cravings. Props to this restaurant
