I didn't have the tools to change my headlights, so I went there on Friday 02/23 to get it done. It was supposed to be an easy/quick job. The mechanic didn't know how to do that in my Kia Optima, so he took a while to figure it out. Once he did, he changed the headlights and said it was done but the lights were not turning on. Half an hour had passed by then. The manager then came by and said that they didn't have time to see what was going on. I get it! They were working on other cars and I didn't have an appointment. The manager then tells me that it's $60 because "it's a diagnostic of an electric problem and that's what they charge for 30 minutes of work". What do you mean? It's not my fault that it took longer because he was figuring out how to do it. Plus... If I hadn't noticed that the lights were not turning on they would've let me go saying that it was ready. Now you're telling me that it was a diagnostic. They didn't do anything else than change the lights. You can't call that a diagnostic. The manager was always bragging about their work and had an attitude from the beginning. His solution was for me to come back on Monday. He also was very clear about the fact that it will be a totally separate bill on Monday.
I had to leave that night for a weekend trip so I went to Pep Boys across the street to see if I could solve the issue. They made the lights work in a minute. As I suspected, there was no electric problem AT ALL !! They probably felt sorry because I was scammed and didn't charge me anything. On top of that, the service was way better! It's cleaner, and looks far more trustworthy.
Please save yourself a headache and take your business somewhere else.
I was very pleased with their services on my 2001 Toyota Camry. I had a cracked radiator that was fixed with no issues. Car was leaking fluid after new radiator. However, I needed a new water pump and oil pan needed to be sealed. I knew that I had oil pan issues but it wasn’t in my budget. I was able to get water pump replaced and oil pan sealed at a price I could afford. I have an older car that now drives like a NEW older car. I highly recommend Camacho’s on Western Blvd for any type of mechanical issues. Great services and great prices.

I had some AC work done on my vehicle. They tried selling me a new air filter, but they didn’t have it in stock. When I got home, the filter was not properly installed and the air box was wide open. The manager bragged, this mechanic was best too. No pride. Won’t go back.
I do not recommend. My husband brought our Toyota in for an oil change on 1/30. They didn’t have the oil we needed. My husband had to go buy the oil (5 qts) and filter. Not a big deal as we understand our car takes a different type of oil that isn’t as common apparently. The problem comes a few days later while we’re traveling back to Raleigh from a short trip to SC (2/3). An oil message appears stating we’re low on oil. How is that possible?? Thinking it was a mistake, we checked the oil. Almost completely empty!! No, we do not have an oil leak. This car is only a 2021. Thank God it alerted us and were able to buy more oil before our engine blew. So highly disappointed. We gave them a try bc they had great reviews and we needed an oil change quick. I highly suggest going to Mission Valley Service Station down the road. They’re a great and trustworthy shop! Shops like Camachos gives mechanics a bad name. I usually go see Tommy at MVSS, but we were in a time crunch. I hate having to write a bad review on a small, local business, but this was negligence or they scammed us and kept the oil we purchased. Which is it? Do better please. You almost cost us a lot of money and a headache.
Very satisfied with their service, my car had a puncture was driving on spare wheel, no appointment, they fixed and replaced it real quick and cleaned my headlights too and at a fair price. Happy customer
came in with a destroyed tire, they got it replaced in minutes for a great price! great services and staff
