I recently dined at Calo Ristorante and had an incredible experience. The pasta I ordered was absolutely delicious—so much so that I completely forgot its name! Every bite was a delightful burst of flavor, perfectly cooked and seasoned, making for a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Additionally, I tried the calamari, which was wonderfully crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The dipping sauce paired with it complemented the dish perfectly. Calo Ristorante offers a wonderful dining experience, with a warm ambiance, attentive staff, and, most importantly, delicious food that will make you want to come back for more.
BLOW OUT ????
A DELICIOUS meal set in a FANTASTIC environment. Such a great place it almost made up for the massive disappointment in my dining partner (the Misses). With rich butter and bread, the conversation turned to hunting and she really had some interesting reactions to my thoughts. One glass of fair price Josh and a giant plate of fettuccine later, she’s livid. Whenever I talk about how I love hunting she becomes an absolute grump (to be honest, not the first word that came to mind). The thrill is like nothing else and she’s just likes to tear bridges isn’t of building them. But I’m getting distracted. This place was awesome! Highly recommend. Be prepared for leftovers!!
THANKS
We dined here for the first time on Valentine’s Day. I must say the vibes in here are cozy but classy, just wonderful. Our waiter Juan went above and beyond to make sure we had everything to our liking, we always had wine in our glasses and we had fun. It was a perfect romantic setting. The food on the other hand was just medium. The homemade bread and butter are great. We had the mixed seafood grill as appetizer which had octopus, squid, shrimp and scallops. The shrimp and scallops were alright, the octopus and squid were rough. We also had the salmon with artichokes and fettuccine alfredo with chicken. They were both pretty good, nothing phenomenal. Portions are huge, we had lots of leftovers to take home. They ask and box them for you which I appreciate. Overall I love the atmosphere, I’m indifferent to the food. Maybe the pizza is better? ????♀️
I made reservations here on a Friday at 7 for a date. We got to the restaurant about 10 after 7 (I had let them know we would be a little late over the phone). We were not seated til about 7:40. I understand we were late but 30 minutes is quite a bit of time for having a reservation. No worries, the staff is friendly and we get seated. We got a table in a great location and were greeted with table bread a few minutes after sitting. We informed the waiter of some food allergies we had at the table and he was very considerate throughout the night ensuring everything we ordered was checked first to ensure it was okay. We started with the Prosciutto e Burrata. Our waiter left off the dressing due to it containing an allergen. The prosciutto and burrata itsself were of high quality. The tomato and bed of arugula were fresh too, and the portion was generous. Then we got the fried calamari. The first thing I noticed was how much was on the plate and the variety of squid cuts. The breading was crunchy and light, and seasoned well. The squid was cooked nicely, and the cocktail sauce was excellent. Then we ordered our mains. I got the Linguini Carbonara and my partner got the Mushroom Truffle Ra Violi. Both portions of pasta were massive! I was shocked at the size. I only was able to eat about half of my plate because of how much food I had eaten before (bread and apps). The Carbonara was great though. Loved how creamy and well-executed the sauce was. I didn’t have the Mushroom Truffle Ra Violi but my partner seemed to enjoy it. We wanted to get dessert but the only thing my partner wanted was Tiramisu and unfortunately, it had soy in it. I found a few times this was the case, as my partner also could not get the original dish she wanted, the Gnocchi Gorgonzola because it had soy as well. It’s unfortunate but this is not the restaurant’s fault and I appreciate how considerate our waiter was to keep it in mind and take our allergens seriously. Overall, this place has a massive menu and there is something really for everyone. The atmosphere is great for family dining, a date or even a nice evening with friends - it has lots of versatility. I will say, be sure to make reservations if it’s a weekend because I overheard the hostess turning away people left and right because the wait was so long. I’m not sure if it’s somewhere we would come often but I am really glad I came by to try it, as the food we did have was delicious, with generous portions, fair prices, and excellent dining service.

Our first time here and love this neighborhood gem! Sandy was our amazing server! She could not have been better and more welcoming. The menu is extensive and inviting. My wife has an issue with salt and ordering can be difficult. This restaurant can accommodate diet issues.
We will be back. A lovely dining experience.
From the minute we walk in the smell of this outstanding and very delicious food took all of our attention. Octopus, calamari, mussels and tiramisu is VERY good. Service is amazing. Thank you , it’s our favourite spot now
Lunch. Grilled calamari. Perfect! Huge portion, and I forgot to take a picture. Dang it. ???? It was my first time here and I'll be back. Great value too. I was stuffed in a good way. Really nice atmosphere. Great for dates or meeting with friends.
