Best WLM Reviews

We stopped by on our trip to the Pentagon mall. Our waitress was a sweet lady.
The male who greeted us as we entered the restaurant was not polite and should not be the face of the restaurant- He had no personality.
The thin crust pepperoni pizza was good. We shared it for 2 adults. My kids shared the kids pizza , 6 small slices was good for them (age 9&2). The strawberry lemonade was very sweet. The dynamite shrimp was good just cannot eat too much of it in one setting.
We spent $48
Good was great and the server was great with our child.
We got up from the table as quick as we could, when a roach crawled across the table and our food. My child’s cheese pizza is in the photo, which he was still eating until it was contaminated. When we got up, the server brought over the check which was very thoughtful and punctual. Again, the server was great.
When we showed the server the roach, she went to get the manager. We were then informed the manager “was not available to discuss.”
We left and called corporate.
Our food was great. It came out super fast and nice and fresh. I would have to say the best part of our experience was the service by our server Tim. He was working this past Sunday, April 14th 2024 and because of him we plan on going back many times as he was very prompt and he made sure to get our children's food in right when we sat down. A++ for Tim our server.
Hadn't been to one of these in years and years. The menu's a bit bigger and the pizzas are still delicious. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken pizza was sweet and spicy. The chicken dumplings were great with a very tasty, tangy sauce. Decent beer selection and the sangria flight was fun to try.
Food was great. But the service was worst. We were still eating and having our drink but the waiter rudely kept the bill on the table even before we asked for it and started cleaning up the table and took the drink away which was half filled. I said sorry but I am still drinking. He made a weird face and went away. Then when he came back I politely mentioned that We understand that its almost the closing time but we would have liked it if you would have just asked us if we are done before cleaning up the table.' He again made weird face and left. I don't think so this is the customer service that we are expecting.
Just for the record, this was my first ever visit to a California Pizza Kitchen along with my first visit to Pentagon City Mall back in the year 1998.
This place was clean, busy, with wonderful servants. I was new to Washington DC and my "first date" companion suggested this place to dine. I gladly accepted as a resident from California and never being a patron of the infamous, California Pizza Kitchen.
After that first visit-date this was a go to place whenever I was visiting the P.C Mall. I can honestly guess that my last visit was rougly around 2010, at best. It was OK for the rainiy day I dropped in with some family from out of town seeking something quick to eat after their flight.
Welp! This is the Year of Our Lord, 2024! I finally made it back and I am sadly disappointed. This rating is not a reflection on the cooks or the servers and their service. The company or the Owner-Management has basically, gone to poot! Yes. Times are hard and prices are inflated, however this Pizza Kitchen "should" be a signature for Washington, DC based on its location. I believe is was some 20 years ago.
At this time I would NEVER choose to dine inside this establishment again! It smells of rot, mice, rats, and more than its share of pests/bugs/vermin. Keeping restrooms clean is important too. The only thing left to do is gut the place out and start anew. It is totally disgusting now. I am sorry, but I have to be honest. Just close this place and renovate!
March 2023: Stopped by CPK today and had the Jambalaya. It's very good ???? and spicy. One of my favorite dished. Been a CPK customer for 30 years, including the CPKnin the Beverly Center. Recommended dining. ☆☆☆ 1/2.
First time going to California Pizza Kitchen. The buffalo cauliflower was tasty and the sauce below it was good too. I liked the flavor of the seafood cioppino, slightly oily. The pizza was better than the pasta in my opinion.
