Best WLM Reviews
I went to this business based off of a referral by my insurance company. The gentleman that checked in my car walked around the vehicle and did a visual inspection and told me that the repairs would take 3 to 4 days to complete and that he would call me the next day to let me know the status of things as it relates to my vehicle and the repairs. He never called. Almost two weeks after dropping off the car and not hearing anything I called to find out the status of my car and was told that they would call me back they did not. I called the next day and was told that the repairs were complete and that they were waiting on doing a car wash before having it be available for pick up. When I went to get my car, the exterior of the car was filthy like it hadn’t been washed in weeks. The drivers seat was reclined and my dash cam was removed from the windshield. I bought it to the managers attention and his response was that they recline the seat to drive it into the garage and that the dash cam may have came off when they were cleaning. The dash cam was securely mounted and required a great deal of force to remove as a result it continues to fall down when trying to mount it back. It’s safe to say that individuals that had access to the car were probably driving around and doing other things they weren’t suppose to, hence the need to remove the dash cam. I have driven on some pretty bad roads and the dash cam did not even budge so “cleaning” the car interior would not have caused the dash cam to come off. Yes they did the job that they were suppose to do but their other actions have left me frustrated and feeling violated.
This review is 8 months in the making. Early December 2022, I initially brought my car to them as a referral from my previous insurance provider. I was told my car would be ready in about two weeks depending on part availability. That was perfect because I was going out of town in that amount of time. I should have it back before I left. They kept giving me the run around when I would call saying that things were delayed and that I needed to basically be a mediator for my insurance.
However, I will say that they advised me to get a repair for damage that I didn't know about from a previous owner for it to be a 100% fix. My insurance declined to give any extra money to fix that underlying problem. It was nice that they let me know, but they took extra time that I didn't have by making me relay information back to my insurance when they could just call them.
Fast forward to middle of January 2023. (They've had my car for about a month and a half at this point... All I needed was a bumper and under skirting.) My car is finally ready and one day over my max coverage for a rental car from my insurance. I get dinged an extra $700 because of their slowness in fixing the vehicle. My car is fixed and I had to remind THEM that I had a 0 dollar deductible when they tried to hand be a bill. After that was situated, I left with my car.
Late August 2023. On the way back from a work trip, my repair fails. I lost some under skirting and the fender liner of my car why driving back home. I contact them that following Monday asking for them to fix it per their Warranty. They have a *limited* lifetime warranty on labor and a 1 year warranty on parts. They argued that the repair that they did was sound and that it did it's job. It was going to be a new incident in which I'd have to pay for out of pocket. WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE WARRANTY IF YOU DON'T HONOR IT???!!! You guys fixed it, the repair that YOU GUYS DID failed WITHIN the timeframe that was discussed earlier and because it's not convenient for the business, you're just not going to honor it?? What are we doing right now? What is happening?
They said to me that due to the scratches to the underside of the bumper, they have deduced that it's my fault that it fell off. Repeated abrasion had jostled loose some things causing it to become dislodged. My old original bumper and under skirting had the same stuff on it along with the damage from the previous owner and it still didn't come off until some road debris hit my car, destroying the bumper. That's normal driving ware and tear. Most passenger style cars like mine, will have those scratches on the underside of the bumper due to entering/exiting driveways, parking in parking lots with the park curbs in them, and just driving in the city. The car was fine since it came off the lot in 2013. 10 years vs. 8 months is a very big difference. The repair failed and from my knowledge, people repair things so that they stay fixed. The goal is to permanently fix it and not have be okay for a couple of months. He said he can see if I came back after a week and it fell off. It would be more obvious that the repair failed. How long have you been a mechanic?? That doesn't even sound right. A good repair last way longer than just 8 months to a year. I'm never coming back because you guys don't stand by your warranty when it affects the bottom line of the business. You're not customer focused or use logic in any form.
Terrible customer service. Was given 3 different completion dates. Every time the date approached I was informed that my vehicle wouldn’t be ready and it was pushed back. On a the date where my vehicle was ready I arrived at the business to pick up my vehicle and it still wasn’t ready. I had to wait 20-30 minutes cause they forgot to install a part on my car. I would never Recommend this business
I definitely do not recommend this place. Recently, my car was broken into so I brought my car here to take care of the window. First, it took about a month to get an appointment which is not their fault however, if they knew I was coming, they could've ordered what they needed ahead of time to ensure a faster process. Once I brought my car in (Wednesday), they said it could take up to 3 days which was frustrating but again not much I can do. I called Friday to see if it was ready (at the 3 day mark) and they said it wasn't ready but the window had come in. Long story short, it wasn't ready until a week later. Then, once I could finally pick it up, the window didn't work properly and there is still glass in my car. In total I was without my car for about a month. They should give a realistic time frame of when your car will be ready and the least they could do is make sure everything is done right when you come to pick it up. The customer service was terrible, when I came in clearly frustrated about the situation, the guy showed no empathy and said they couldn't do anything for me. I will never use this place again.
Great work great price friendly staff everything done on time I will definitely refer you thank you very much
I should have read the reviews before dropping my car off.. My car is currently at the shop.. dates are still being pushed back.. NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL..I have to call them for a status of my fender… I do not recommend bringing your car…I came due to a recommendation from my co worker.. I will never ever bring my car there..
I had to come here for a Honda paint repair. I live in the east and had gone to the Honda one my side of town and metairie and both of there body shops did not get back to me. I’m still waiting to hear from them actually… even though the work has already been completely . Anyways I went to the Honda on the West Bank and they sent me over to California Customs and they looked at my car same day and got me schedule for the work a week later. I got my car back in under 10 days and they kept me up to date all along the process. Everyone was so nice and the work was great!! I’m very satisfied and it was worth the trek across the bridge. They clearly care more about quality and service than the shops in the east and metairie.
Absolutely fantastic repair experience. I left my daughters BMW for repair. It was ready when promised. The repair was flawless. Couldn't tell where the old paint started and the new paint began. It was an out of pocket repair and the price was very reasonable. I have and will continue to highly recommend this shop to all of my friends and family.
