My recent visit to the Mexican restaurant was a pleasant one. The atmosphere was lively, and the service was attentive. The menu had a good variety of Mexican dishes, and I particularly enjoyed the burrito, which was flavorful and filling. I'm giving it 4 stars because, while it was a great meal, there's always room for a little more improvement. I'd definitely return for another burrito and the overall enjoyable experience.
I ordered the fish taco plate w rice and it had no taste. I add to add limes and tapatio. The only thing that had flavor was the sweet corn that's it. I paid $20 for bland food.
I can't remember ever having a bad meal here. Food is fresh, portions great, prices fair and although I had a mahi mahi rice bowl on my last visit, the carnitas here are my favorite.
I live around the corner, driven by this place for years. So on a quest to try and support more of my local eateries, I've neglected giving this, among others a shot. I finally decided to try it a couple weeks ago and what excellent food this place has!
The food is unbelievably fresh and tastes great. Might even give Las Barcas a run for their money. Certainly for breakfast.
Menu is smaller I guess, but is diverse for what you want to try and everything is delicious with it's choice of ingredients. Coffee they make is super good too!
A lot to be said about the interior too. I really like the vibe and aesthetic all around. Especially for locals.
Looks small outside, but rather spacious inside. Lots of comfortable seating in and on the patio. You can even sit at a working Ms. Pac-Man cocktail cabinet.
They do have other To-Go menu items, i.e. muffins as well if you're in a hurry. Though, I've never had to wait much more then a few mins for an order.
Lastly, staff has been super friendly and happy to help whenever I've come in. Couldn't ask for better service.
Have been back multiple times since introducing it to friends and family, all having highly positive experiences.
They did not have quinoa salad....at 0500pm
..wished I had that one.....but then got chicken fajitas....some chicken was not grilled enough
Their food is fantastic! My faves are the Blue Moon salad with chicken, the beef and chicken flautas, the cheese enchiladas and of course the sweet corn cakes! Fast, friendly service, very clean and fresh food! You won't feel guilty treating yourself to this home style Mexican food!
I am writing this review based on 3 experiences I have had at Caliente. I LOVE everything about this place! On today’s visit, I got a wet black & pinto bean burrito with grilled peppers, onions, salsa and rice. The same gal who has taken all 3 of my orders has been super friendly and accommodating to my vegan requests and she even gave me a great suggestion today of half green sauce and red sauce on my burrito! It was so delicious, I couldn’t decide which sauce I liked better. The chips are good and they have a self serve fresh salsa bar. Guacamole is fantastic too. It is decorated very cute and has always been very clean! I like how fresh everything is and that they are environmentally conscience as well. The guy next to me had a salad that looked really yummy and I will probably try that next time. Limited indoor and outdoor seating but nice to have an option of both. ????❤️
