Gerry is the best. I refuse to go anywhere else. He is a true artist and his work is amazing. I bring everyone I know to Calavera to get work done. Super clean, professional, and great music! Gerry is insanely creative and skilled. He took my basic ideas and created a true piece of art that I will love for the rest of my life. He is talented and his eye for color and attention to detail is insane. Every tattoo is a personal experience and I wouldn't have it with anyone else. I cannot wait to come back! Thanks hermano.
Update:
I came back for the brother on my left arm tat. Quetzalcoatl is somehow even more beautiful. Gerry is a master. I cannot reccomend strongly enough. I let him choose the color and shading and I am not dissapointed. I won't trust anyone else.
As soon as we walked into this place everyone was great they came up to us right away to see what we wanted. Great Staff everyone was real friendly.Erika touched up my husband’s tattoo and her husband did mines. Excellent work we loved it I do recommend this place so if anyone is looking for a tattoo this is the place you have to come. Definitely going to come back.Great atmosphere and we felt very comfortable.This place deserves more than 5 stars .
I have been a customer of Gerry and Erika for almost three years, and would not go to anyone else at this point. I'm finally writing a review because people typically google tattoo shops these days and "word of mouth" is less relied upon. The shop is always clean and you can't find greater experience anywhere.
Yvonne is an amazing talented artist, I brought a very intricate design and she nailed it! Awesome attitude, and made me feel very comfortable. She's great!. I came back a week later and she did it again! I'm so glad I came across this great and humble artist. Thank you Yvonne and Calaveras tattoo.
The minute you walk into the shop, you’re welcomed by one of the many friendly faces there! I have never been disappointed! Everyone is so friendly and patient!
I’ve gotten two of my absolute favorite pieces ever done by Trent! Not only does he take the time to get the details right in the stencil, but he also takes his time to make sure the placement is perfect—as well as the end result! I’ve been such a fan of his work and I’ll be sure to continue to go to him! He’s thorough, clean, and makes you feel at ease while he’s putting in work! I highly recommend him! He’ll be the one completing my sleeve and I can not wait!
If I could rate them higher I would. When we walked in Dave was immediately so nice and ready to go! You don’t get this type of service in tattoo shops nowadays. Erika did mine and Dave did my husbands. Fair prices, fast and friendly service. Go see them!
Anyone in San Antonio that wants a great tattoo get over to Calaveras!! I see Jason Pool he’s done all my tattoos!! Always happy when I leave outside the pain haha. I drove from Corpus Christi when I lived there. I now live in Dallas and make the drive to see my guys! Keep up the great work! See you guys soon!
Gerry Q. Garcia Is a phenominal tattoo artist. I am getting a full color "Virgén de Guadalupe" on the inside of my forearm. He did all the line work in one sitting. The straight lines, the detail and the intricate shading of the black work is fantastic. He started one rose just so everyone will know it will have full vibrant color. He captured the sweetness and humility of Our Lady's face. He was able to put my words into his work perfectly. He also was in no hurry to finish the color work. He advised a minimum of 2 weeks before my next session. He also engaged with me when I felt like talking and stopped talking when I was quiet. He made me feel very comfortable and listened to my wife when she was asking questions about what he was doing. His replies usually included what he did and why he didn't use other commonly used techniques. Every time he touched anything away from my arm he changed gloves. Gerry is neat, clean and keeps a sanitary field over his work. I will update when I get my color.
