Best WLM Reviews

Ebony, our waitress, was delightful! Even though the restaurant was busy this weekend, she seated our family of five immediately. She was very attentive, helpful and polite. The food was delicious. I would recommend the seafood boil, because the “house” flavor and freshness. I liked the sauce they used in the shrimp Po Boy, and the serving size was filling. Now, there’s nothing better than going to New Orleans to eat alligator tail, so I can’t say the Gater basket was the best I have ever had, but I did enjoy having it as an appetizer while I waited. If you are craving a good Cajun seafood boil, I would go here at least once.
My only suggestion to the owners is to update the QR codes on the menu and the back of the napkin dispenser because it did not work. It was supposed to list the pricing of the seafood boil. You could have charged us anything and we would have just had to go with it after seeing the bill. Very important to be transparent and informative. Over all we had a positive experience and I would go back, ESPECIALLY, because of the service given by Ebony.
We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood at this restaurant, which did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively, with music and patrons singing and having a great time.
However, the service was lacking in speed. Our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, which was longer than expected. We were thankful for the water while we waited.
Additionally, the appetizers were delayed and arrived with our entrees.
I must deduct a star for the dirty bathroom. The ladies' restroom was messy, with toilet paper on the floors, dirty stalls, floors, and sinks. Cleanliness is important to me when evaluating establishments. I hope the kitchen is cleaner than the bathroom. The staff seemed more focused on chatting at the bar than attending to customers or cleaning the restroom. There was no one at the front to greet guests, as they were all gathered at the bar.
Overall, I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars for the food and ambiance, but it falls short due to these issues.
I ordered the pasta and had chicken added it was very disappointing, so after that was a flop, so then I decided to order the fish, which was very tasty. However, it wasn't worth the value. One of my sisters ordered a drink and had to just cancel it, and another ordered the seafood bread or whatever it is, and it didn't come out until we were going through the door to leave. So, my group and I noticed that the drinks were just piling up and just sitting there watering down. In my opinion, the atmosphere is chaotic. People look like they just got out of bed and came to work, and if management doesn't take notice, it will close down in two years.
This restaurant is a must go to! You get plenty of FRESH seafood for your money & we had lots of leftovers that just hit the spot through the week. Ebony was our server She was great. You must request her. She thoroughly explained the menu and the best options. we started off with hot hush puppies that I haven’t had since I lived in Texas!! Try the voodoo juice alongside your meal. Don’t forget to errythaangg house sauce!! Find date night or meet up with the girls OKAAYYY ???? ????
Ordered the shrimp and crab gumbo and this is how it’s served. 2 shrimp and you have to crack this miniature crab cluster if you actually want crab in this big bowl of over cooked rice and horrific roux.!!!!!! Staff was amazing and very understanding when asked to have it taken off the bill. Btw I was charged a $15.90 service fee.
We entered and were told our party of 11 had 90 minutes to eat, and the time was starting now. Then we waited 40 minutes for our food and drinks. Service was so slow and the atmosphere/music was so loud that I couldn't wait to leave. Talking to each other was out of the question. Regardless of how you are treated or served you pay a 17% tip which they add on as a service fee, then they leave a space for a tip! Terrible experience and we will NEVER return.
This was my first time at this location. I usually go to the Oak Park location. Immediately upon entering you notice signs on the wall stating that a 17% gratuity is added to every table automatically. Not a problem easier for me when the bill comes. Our server was very nice when he took our order and that is where the good ended. We sat for 45 minutes after placing the order waiting for our food. We watched the table whose order he took after ours get there food still our server never came back to us. I finally flagged down someone else and inquired about our food. I was told that things were backed up because they had a party room. She goes back into the kitchen and immediately returns with our food which had to be just sitting waiting I don’t know how long to be brought to us. Of course it was Luke warm. I was with my 13 year old granddaughter who only wanted a Mommy and Me day for her birthday so I didn’t complain or ruffle any feathers we just proceeded to eat and she did enjoy herself. The bill comes and I see that the gratuity is labeled a service charge and they had the audacity to want an additional amount they were calling a tip. I did double check with another staff member about gratuity being in the bill. Needless to say he better be grateful for that service charge and now I know why it’s automatically added to the bill I won’t ever be back!
First time trying this place. I got chicken po’boy with cajón fries and shrimp Mac and cheese. Food was delicious! No wait we walked in on the Tuesday at 4pm The atmosphere was great they had good music playing.
Now the reason I did not believe this place deserved my 5 stars was because the service was bad. I would totally understand if they were busy but this was not the case at all.
