Very cool bridge.
Got me from Cape Girardeau to Paducha safety. A little narrow but does not shake when their is an 18 wheeler on the other side.
MOST TERRIFYING BRIDGE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!! NEARLY BLACKED OUT FROM PANIC… husband loved the lamas breathing also.
Bridge is old and in need of repair. Kind of scary to cross over. Interesting to see the barges below.
Its pretty tight, If you are on experienced driver sure will give some Goosebumps when you have trucks coming towards you.
This bridge limit weight was 40 t and the 2nd one that crosses Mississippi river is at at least it was open and I was able to save 1-1/2hr from which way my truck to GPS was taken me.
For some reason truck GPA reads this bridge as a 10 t limit.
Great old bridge. Yes, a little narrow but not too bad. Sure beats driving all the time at to Paducah to cross the Ohio. Crosses interesting bit of geography where three states come together - only in Illinois for a brief moment. Pull in your mirrors if they stick out. Slow down and enjoy the view.
A little easier to cross than Mississippi River, but much more spectacular view of all the tugboats and barges.
We cross this Bridge when we go home to see family. I love this old bridge. It's great to see the Ohio and Mississippi rivers come together just south of this bridge.
