Best WLM Reviews
I ordered a medium bowl and it was half full. Other Cafe Yumm places are filled all the way up. When I asked about it, I was told it was because I omitted the salsa and cilantro. I said that ingredients don't take up half of the bowl. Then I was ignored.
Edit: the manager said I could come in for a free bowl but when I did they said they threw the comp out after 2 weeks. It had maybe been 4 weeks since this issue happened and I wish I would have known there was a time limit.
Much like many other patrons this specific location of cafe yumm is horrible at providing you with actual proper portions. They barely give you half portions in the bowls. The photo above is a medium original bowl WITH additional SW chicken. Even with the extra chicken item in the bowl it barely reaches the halfway point of the bowl. Every other Cafe Yumm I have ever been to is much better at actually giving you what you pay for.
I ordered online for convenience. My pick up was never updated. I estimated that by the 30 mins that had elapsed with no status update that my food was ready it was time to go pick it up. I assumed it was busy and that was the reason for no status update. Wrong, the location was not slammed, there seemed to be enough staff???? It’s a good thing these bowls are still good cold ???? my order was cold when I picked it up. This location is odd, LOTS of turnover in staff HUGE ????. To me that is indicative a franchise issue or a management issue, not a staff issue. I will NEVER assume staff is the problem especially when a location has constant shortages and turn over. The 2nd star I gave for this review was grace for the staff doing the best they could. I see a few one star ratings for this location and know i understand why. Do better.
Won’t be going to this location anymore. My order is so so simply yet they consistently forget the sauce. And maybe 1/5 times they actually give me extra chicken usually I pay extra and it’s just a few pieces. Y’all think this is worth $10? Haven’t even had one bite yet
By far the worst Cafe Yumm I’ve ever been to. So bad, that I stopped going to Cafe Yumm completely. Unfriendly service and the orders are wrong about half the time. Last time I ordered a Jasmine Bowl, there were long strands of hair mixed in. That was it for me. Also, judging by everyone else’s experience, Cafe Yumm should revoke this locations franchise. At minimum, this place needs a surprise health inspector visit.
This was my first time at a Cafe Yumm (I guess it's a chain?). The customer service was outstanding. The girl behind the counter was knowledgeable and understanding of my garlic allergy. She did her best to direct me to a good meal. Based inn customer service, this place would have gotten a 5- star rating.
I rated only a 3-star for a few reasons: most tables were dirty. Working in food service, I understand that after a rush, it might look like a disaster so I was willing to give it the benefit of a doubt. 25 minutes went by south nearly no customers and no one came out to wipe tables. Bus bins were crazy full as well.
That would have landed probably a 4-star rating. While eating my meal, I could overhear the employees discussing the low points of working there (Thats putting it nicely). While I get food service sucks most of the time, bitchin's for the kitchen (where customers can't here you).
I'll probably be back because the food was alright and I'd like to see what the other restaurants in that chain have to offer.
Don't get me wrong. I love the food. I eat Cafe Yumm a few times per week. I get the small Jazzy bowl with chicken added. I can usually only eat half and save the rest for the next day.
However, this week, I noticed that I ate the whole thing. Strange, okay. Today I looked and the bowl was half full. I get it through GrubHub, but the very top of the bowl - rice, avocado, chicken, all of it - only reached the halfway mark on the container it came in. And it is definitely the same size container that it usually is. I would know - I get this a lot. Not only that, but I had two pieces of chicken and two slices of avocado. Something is definitely off.
I'm disappointed that I paid $17 to have half a meal delivered. I'm going to watch this again next week. If it goes back to normal, I'll update my rating. Because I really like Cafe Yumm, but cutting your portion sizes back by half isn't the move. I checked the calorie content and that hasn't been updated on the corporate page. I would expect that to have gone down if they officially cut back portion sizes across the board.
So I’ve been coming to cafe yumm for 30+ years. Food wise I’ll never get tired of it. It is one of my favorite lunch places and I go at least 3-4 times a week. Food always gets 5 star. However this location I’ve gone to several times now, and every single time my large bowl is only 3/4 full. I go to Beaverton usually and Eugene often. The bowls are always filled to over the top and the lid smashes it down so it’s completely 100% full. I’m not the type to review, however I felt I needed to here. I will not be coming back to this location again. Which is a shame because it’s one of the closest to where I live. On top of what I mentioned the price went up on the bowls recently. Which I totally understand. But full the bowls up! A large bowl 3/4 filled does not make me full for $11.50. I couldn’t even guess within $1000 of how many yumm bowls I’ve ate in my life. I grew up down the street from the very first location. I do t like complaining. But this is really unexceptable as Almost all other locations fill the bowl up and give you your moneys worth. Please change this method. Go see what Beaverton is doing. They are the busiest location out of all
Thanks. Again the food is consistently my favorite. I will change my review if this location changes their bowl portion
